Some guy has (what I am assuming are 4 people playing split-screen since they all had the same name) his friends just protect him once he gets to be king?
Kinda defeats the purpose of this mode does it not?
why have it if it can be exploited so easily?
I’ve played Regicide with friends. We just beat the everloving -Yoink- out of each other.
It is a great boon too. If one of us is really looking to work on a certain challenge we can do it without any real worries. No one has their tryhard pants on. Just some goofy, thoughtless fun.
The reason I like Regicide at all is because it is an easy gametype to beat my friends up in a bit when we aren’t feeling like another round of BTB/KOTH/InfinitySlayer.
I’m really hoping the game doesn’t ever go -Yoink!- on us over it and dole out XP bans. The thought did occur to us that it IS a FFA playlist and we ARE technically going in together. We figure so long as we are actually playing the game the system should be able to tell. We certainly aren’t cheating. There just isn’t a point in playing a Custom game of Regicide when we all benefit a hell of a lot more doing it in a normal playlist.
I typically come in like 3rd or 4rth but I’m getting better. My little brother is better at Halo then me. lol.
well, the game I’m talking about these guys were literally huddling around the king, and all just trying to hunt me down as I was the only guy in the game putting up a challenge.
Was lame as hell.

I’m not upset or crying about it man.
I’m new to Halo MP (this mode in particular) and just wondered if this was a legit tactic or if it’s frowned upon. Seemed pretty low to me.
Just wanted to confirm if this was indeed a form of cheating or not. Seems it will be pretty hard to prevent.

It’s not really ‘cheating’ as such since they are not breaking any rules. But it is a low ball and quite pathetic IMO. The player who was king probably was afraid of being shot at.
As long as there are video games there will be cheating. It’s happened in every Halo game FFA game type.
Reach for me was particularly bad for players in a party picking the same colors and just playing it as TDM.
Sounds to me like they were trying to turn it into VIP?
Regicide, I went in with some friends and we were being so hyper competitive. I ended up winning.
