Regicide=best thing to happen to MM

I love regicide so far. It’s less of an opportunist’s playlist than lone wolf was or Juggernaught was.

It’s a fun gametype, but it never should’ve replaced FFA slayer at launch, it isn’t comparable, therefore it shouldn’t have been the stand in.

so let me get this straight.
Regicide
if you are in the lead, you get less points, and a great big red arrow over your head so every1 knows where you are and not vice versa?
So you are essentially get punished if you are the better slayer…
I see
So it hampers the noobs and handicaps the pros.
Encourages you to not kill people and purposely get killed until the end of the game?

Reminds me of head2head in halo 3 where if you gained the lead you lost your rader and had a waypoint over your head.

Exactly, It’s fine in an action sack type list with other stupid just have fun gametypes like juggernaut. Not as the sole FFA playlist.

No. It does not reward you for getting killed. The more points you earn as king, the better off you are.

Almost. You don’t get any more or any less points than any one else, except when it comes to killing the king. The same as FFA in regards to every other aspect. The only “twist” is the the king has a waypoint over their head, and depending the spree they are on (or is it, how far ahead they are?) you can get bonus points for killing them.

So essentially, if you are in the lead, EVERYONE will be going for you. And, you can win even if you got 10 and 25 , as long as all your kills are on Kings with high bounties.

I feel like this is a counter to my thread listing Regicide’s flaws.

But, I digress. You want to know something, OP?

At the end of match, if the person who wins goes negative or only +2, something wrong happened.

Played two games of Regicide… won both but I averaged having 23-25 kills while 2nd place, and only about 10-20 pts behind me has an average of 15-18 kills. Not a fair gametype, scoring wise. Not sure how to change it up besides not giving such big bonuses or not having instant respawn. The amount of times I’ve killed someone only to see them spawn and sprint at me w.in 5s of their death is absurd.

regicide is my favorite game type and for your info I’ve only lost 6 times out of dozens

I actually hate Regicide. I’ve had moments where I would lose a game because some kid killed the King at the last second and when I look at the post carnage report at the end of the game, I went 23 and 16 and the kid who won went 17 and 21.

Such a stupid gametype. The person with the most kills should always win an FFA match.

Heres the proof of what I’m talking about

Correction. The person with the most kills should always win a Slayer FFA match. Otherwise you’re saying that Oddball and KotH should be determined by kills alone.

Honestly, I love this gametype. Instead of the opportunistwho tosses a grenade between two players, or finishes of the victors of duels, the leader is visible to all and needs to be able to fight off each enemy and survive in order to win.
Sure, it has the side effect of the occasional last minute kill determining the match, but I’ll accept that as a trade off for lessening the amount of opportunists.

I’ve won every single regicide match I’ve been in by simply NOT HIDING when i’m the king. As shown in that vid, you don’t even have to kill the king to become the king. If you’ve been owning the whole match and some clown kills you with 5 seconds left, you still win since you’ve racked up so many points. FFA was more of a “hurr i’ll just hang out here and take shots at people in the middle of a fight.” type game.
