Regeneration Field

To those who’ve played at PAX or know a lot about this armor ability, does the Regeneration Field protect you from damage? Is it similar to the Drop Shield? If you could answer, that would be great.

I’m guessing it is extremely similar to the Regen in H3… but not as powerful, so you take damage but it heals you over time

Really? Because in a video, it shielded the player from a plasma grenade detonation.

I think he was far enough that the grenade wouldn’t hurt him.

No, it isn’t. The initial activation pushes enemies out from behind you. Afterwords, you recieve a shield/health regeneration, but at a slower rate than the Regenorator from Halo 3. You can still be shot when in the regeneration field unlike the Drop Shield. It also has a fairly short usage time and a longer recharge time according to my observations.

Still similar to H3 regen…

But not as OP in terms of regeneration speed or usage time.

Yeah,I agree it is similar to the Regeneration field on H3,but hey.343 could have some tricks up there sleeves.

From what I’ve seen trying to use it in battle will just get you killed while you deploy it. It doesn’t heal fast enough like the Halo 3 regen to overcompensate for the shots you take. I wonder if a little device is deployed that can be destroyed to stop it.
