Urban is by far the worst, most brutal, and most unfair WZFF map. I have 22 matches on this god awful map and only 3 are wins. And the reason? Oh right, this map -Yoink- countless prometheans right onto your head over and over again. Now most of the rounds 1-4 aren’t bad… easy even except the core rounds, but the boss rounds… that’s another story. Out of 22 matches I have only seen two types of boss rounds. You have two legendary knights behind the armory followed by two mythic Warden (Bulletsponge) Eternals right in the open. Sounds easy right? Well let me spice it up. Those two wardens will also come with several Ultra Wraith tanks and roughly 4-7 Banshees as well as swarms of Knights. And the other hellish round? 4 legendary soldiers on the roof of the armory. Just about impossible to attack with vehicles, but not too hard themselves after you spend between 5 seconds and 1 minute you now have to face 2 legendary and 1 mythic Wardens. Now some you are probably thinking “But killer the legendary guys are easy?!” Usually they are, but unfortunately for you little Tim Tim. These 3 Wardens are in the back of a base with more knights than 1500s Europe. So good luck, because vehicles are useless indoors. Now if you’ve read this far… Thanks for that. Now I know Covenant can spawn on Urban, but there are few and far between, and I have not once seen a Covenant boss. So I have decided to quit every Urban match before it begins. I can’t take this headache anymore, but since there’s no option to leave the Pregame load I have to either wait or restart Halo 5. I don’t care anymore if 343 bans me this Hellhole of a map is unacceptable to me at this point.
Anyway thanks for reading, and let me know whether you agree or not.
PS: I typed this off of an xbox so apologies for any spelling errors.
PPS: My hand hurts.
I agree man, even if the map wasn’t brutally difficult at times, it’s just not fun 100% of the time.
There just aren’t enough fodder enemies to fight, and far too many formidable ones.
I just had a round where round 1 was to kill 35 Prometheans. That’s pathetic, people are going to be lucky to be req level 2 after such a pittance of enemies. This round isn’t fun.
Next round? Kill 65 prometheans. Really? That’s better but now a ton of phaetons spawn in with them, in combination to an army of Binary snipers in the middle armory. And most people are req level 2, maybe 3. This round isn’t fun.
Round 3: kill the two wardens in the corner. Meh round, not bad, but made pretty crappy by the aforementioned rounds, as the majority of the team are only req level 3-4, with a lucky few being 5.
Talking about round 4 and 5 doesn’t really matter since it’s these starting rounds that REALLY suck.
Contrast this map with Raid or Skirmish at D, and there’s at least 3 times the amount of enemies to fight. Which is actually fun.
Yeah I usually turn off my xbox if urban or stormbreak show for wzff. waste of half an hour usually. Urban is the worst. Please spawn my vehicle directly into an enemy gangbang again. Its the best… -_-

Yeah last game that inspired my rant was 65 prometheans followed by 3 knight bosses then 35 prometheans like 65-35 I thought this gets harder not easier then we had 15 knights and then 3 wardens indoors. #DeathToUrban
I wouldn’t even mind the difficulty if the map layout wasn’t so horrible. There’s a roadblock at every little inch on the street you can’t even properly use vehicles.
And it upsets me seeing 343 do changes by moving or shuffling rounds but can’t reduce enemies on there. I’d be happy with just no banshees on round 5. Shouldn’t be more difficult than moving around rounds. They have totally disregarded the most important issue with FF.
I agree.
Urban’s WZFF Round 5 is -Yoink!- hard.
But if you have a fireteam, it’s still can be completed.
You need to start prepare right after you finished round 4.
Drive at least 1 Scorpion deep into the side way of the Garage. It is on the left side,
Drive 1 Ghost to the second floor of the armory.
The side way is when your spawn vehicle in the garage, it is on your left. Just step away from the wall.
2.If the Round 5 is 2 Knight and 2 Mythic Warden, then use the Scorpion to kill the 2 knight ASAP.
After that, call the whole team back to the garage, and focus on destroy all banshee.
Because your scorpion has go into the side way, the banshee will not attack you.
And when your whole team is focusing on kill the banshee, Scorpion can also wipe out the Wraith Ultra and knight in front of your garage.
After that, use all firepower to destroy the 2 warden. With Scorpion there, is won’t be too hard.
If the Round 5 is a group of soldier and 3 Warden.
Use the ghost on the Armory second floor splatter them in first second.
Wait for the Mythic Warden spawn.
When it Spawn, there will be plenty of knight and soldier spawn out side of the base.
Use Scorpion and every other heavy vehicle to kill them all ASAP.
And rush the ghost into the home base to splatter those soldier with splinter cannon.
After this, all you need to do is throw everything you have to kill those warden. With about 3-4 minutes left, it won’t be very hard.

Yes urban is extremely hard to win. Im about 3-11 on it. Actually got put on it yesterday and was pretty dissapointed but still we won. You just need very good reqs. I spawned a banshee ultra and just stayed extremely far away and shot continuous bombs at the wardens. Tanks are likely another very important tool wraiths likely you will need to get too close to be effective.
I won a match on urban yesterday, I called in an oni scorpion and warden ran straight out of his hiding place back of core and we annihilated him. Wish he’d do that every time lol.
honestly even if all that happened was the road got cleared of all the -yoink!- that blocks the vehicles it would make things easier. but spawns definitely need to be looked at.
also i can’t believe you typed all that on your Xbox. you musta been really upset haha.

I though the A button was gonna give out, and yeah if they clean the map or replace it with Battle of Noctus I think it’d be a much more enjoyable/winnable experience.
I spawned my only hannibal scorpion to try and kill the 2 mythic wardens, they used their emp blasts on me non-stop while the ultra wraiths and banshees shot me to death. Terrible map.
Almost consistently, Round 5 consists of you beating up two Knights behind the Garage, followed by two Mythic Wardens with Ultra Banshees and Ultra Wraiths that can cross snipe you.
All while you’re surrounded by a million boxes so you can’t really drive anywhere, but are expected to use vehicles to beat them.
Honestly if we don’t beat the Knight within the first 90 seconds or if I see we’re not well equipped, I give up right there.

Phaetons are the best against wardens if you can have ground support to drop the banshees quick. They do so much damage on him and he seems to almost completely ignore you in favor of the ground vehicles.
So far, I’m 1-1 with the round 5 Wardens that spawn in the open after the hot fix update. If you don’t have a team that spawns good vehicles during that round, then you’re probably going to lose.
I’m at 1 win out of 15 games on Urban. Far too many prometheans and WHY IS THERE SO MUCH CLUTTER!? Firefight is won by vehicles and they’re handicapped a ton by all of the indestructible junk scattered throughout the streets.
