Simply put, the majority of Halo 5 players will never have them for quite some time. Why? Because Legendary Items don’t really start dropping until after you’ve completed all the Silver Packs, as well as a significant portion of Ultra Rares. Seeing as how even some of the more experienced Halo 5 players don’t even have a DMR yet (which is only a Rare), I highly doubt that Helioskrill will be a common sight any time soon. 343i probably didn’t want to lock a set of armor behind a paywall (that paywall being MCC, which is probably $30 or something by now), as the only other REQ in the game that requires purchasing is the Vanguard Emblem, which came from the Halo 5 Limited Edition Xbox One Console. The Mark VI Gen 1(+ Scarred) is almost identical to the normal Mark VI available in the REQ system, with the only major difference being the Space Diaper.
In the end, having a full set of Helioskrill, whether its Mythic or not, is something that signifies your dedication to either Halo 5 or Halo CE-4, and as such it remains as much of a status symbol as it used to be. 343i could introduce an exclusive Emblem that is only available via MCC Legendary, so you can still prove to everyone else that you did actually “earn” your armor.
I agree but i don’t because I don’t want to buy halo mcc and also complete every mission on legendary I’d rather be able to get one in a pack or something
would be interesting to see if they make it required to have helio already unlocked to get it.
Either way, if its legendary would mean you have to put a lot of time into the game in the first place so i guess sure, why not. idk what would take more time though, getting it via req packs or just playing mcc on legendary.

Then it should be off limits to you if you don’t want to put in the time and effort. Those that did, deserve something for their accomplishment.

I’m annoyed still, but at least they aren’t mythic like the standard variant. It still has a higher tiered status.

I don’t know, I’ve got 70%-80% of the REQs unlocked and Legendaries are dropping every other pack.
