Pleas do give us more playlist options. I keep hearing groups of people finding new games because they’re bored already. Not enough variety in the playlists. I know someone saying their small friend group isn’t happy doesn’t scratch the surface of the population but there are hundreds of posts daily about this on reddit, esports articles, discord, etc.
Any type of communication from 343 would be appreciated.
100% need a SWAT playlist. SWAT is a pretty key playlist, especially for mouse and keyboard players. Ranked SWAT would be my main playlist.

Ya I’m at a breaking point. I’m sick and tired of stronghold and oddball and after I stopped playing last night I seriously considered uninstalling the game. I’m simply not having fun.
Even in ranked stronghold just results in a merry go round of people trying to 3 cap instead of defending the 2 nodes and oddball just turns into who can reach the best chokehold spot to hide in first (I think staying in one spot too long should drain the ball carriers shield, which would fix that and make people move around the map.)
CTF is about the only objective mode I can tolerate and even then I get a headache trying to play that mode with people just running in 1 at a time instead of as a team so the flag just gets reset over and over.
Ya…I’m pretty much done. Not that 343 cares because I don’t buy battlepasses, but whatever.
If they lock Swat behind an event I’m done. Period. It is the primary mode I want to play. Back to Halo 5 it is.
Needs to be ranked as well.

Can confirm this dude is an OG. I have screenshots from 2010 playing Halo 3 against Devil! Swat has a huge community and there are tons of groups that rely on it. I have a small Discord server dedicated to Swat and we’ve all been waiting for it on Infinite and now things are at a standstill.
Just wait for the limited time SWAT event. Now instead of enjoying the gamemode, build up tons of frustration trying to complete obscure objectives while everyone on your team is also trying to complete obscure objectives.
And when you’re done with the maximum amount of levels you can get in the SWAT event for that week, you can enjoy the full burnout on the gamemode until it gets locked in the 343 vault. Is anyone else looking forward to the inevitable the Infection event next Halloween?
It’s a live service! Which means they started making it 6 months ago and it will be finished in 2031.

This takes me back to Halo 4’s development.
One of the earlier ones that Holmes recalls was when the team completed a small piece of the Halo experience that he described as a “very traditional” Halo. User research showed that people thought it was a lot of fun, and it showed that the team was capable of making a Halo game that was true to what the series was about.
343 scrapped it, Holmes says, as it was too traditional.

343 has honestly been the worst thing to happen to Halo. I wish MS had found a way to keep Bungie around or at the very least stick their foot into 343’s you know what and tell them to knock it off and just make Halo and stop trying to reinvent the wheel.
I don’t think I could ever go back to Halo 5…but ya swat being locked behind a limited event is really -Yoink!- me off. Its also one of my favorite modes and I really want swat ranked.
This is a beta, Your claim that there is no “dedicated Slayer playlist” is unfounded - the full game releases alongside the campaign on 12/8.

This isn’t a beta, its a soft release. Calling it a beta is an insult to games actually in beta. I would love to be surprised, but lets be real here, they have already said that this is the launch content so don’t expect playlists to change on Dec 8, especially since the current playlist design is clearly intentional because of how the battlepass progression and challenges work.
Yes, it’s a beta. This is factually true. You even get a cool pop up saying it’s a beta when you first boot up the game.
When did they say that this is all there is?
They say said the beta will launch with all day one content and full season 1 battle pass
Everything in the beta is what will be in the game “day one”. Now, will they add stuff on top of what is already available? Maybe. I would be a little surprised and I welcome a good surprise, but I am not expecting much from what I’ve seen so far.
I’d love to be proven wrong and see Ranked Swat or even just social Swat on the 8th, but you can come back to this thread on the 8th and let me know what happens.

I’ve played Halo almost consistently since Combat Evolved. Don’t quite remember when it was that I discovered SWAT but since then it’s pretty much all I play in Halo.
Echoing many of the comments here, I really doubt I’ll stick around past the campaign if SWAT isn’t available as its own ranked playlist. Also, what reason is there not to have it?
I hope this pushes 343 in some way towards making it available.
