Regarding monocasting and multicasting

I posted this on reddit a few days ago. Really happy some of the suggestions made it through! So I’ll just link link to the original post and remove the addressed parts from this post. Which will leave us with just the casting modes for grunts and marines.

  • Marines:While the MONOCAST change has been a quality of life improvement it can’t be denied that this is also a huge buff, this buff alone has rendered Chopper/Ghost openers useless on Banished v UNSC matchups. It is also a major buff on the Grunt v Marine matchup. Grunts just don’t stand a chance. I’m not asking for it to be reverted, I’m asking all units to be fine tuned for the most convenient casting mode.

  • Grunts:I don’t know exactly what the new patch did to grunts, but if anything they actually feel way less responsive and clunkier than before regarding their Mines Y ability. I’ve heard people say they’re OP even, I laugh. This ability will never be good until they add MULTICAST to it. Simple: select any number of grunts > press Y > every selected grunt will deploy a mine where they stand. If marines received a quality of life improvement I just see no reason why grunts can’t.

I agree completely. The mines are already pretty useless thanks to detect units hitting them, the least the grunts could get is a multicast on it so you don’t have to spend 15s laying a field before retreating. The mine upgrade is such a waste of money on T1 it’s laughable, the only reason to buy it is to get to Pack Brother lol.

Tbh shrapnel mines are worthless. They need multicasting for it to be usable

I think i’d rather see plasma grenades come back. As it stands i just use them like demo charges and hope i get kills that way.
