The one most important thing that scares me about Halo Infinite is the fact of how much exposure it gets. Take for example Titanfall 2 the greatest shooter I’ve played since Halo 3 but it barely got any ad exposure and it got swept under. The game at peak times has a population of 4000. This scares me with Halo Infinite. Even though halo 5 mislead us they poured a lot of money into tv ads and youtube ads. I feel as if Halo Infinite won’t get this exposure and will be swept under like tf2 but be a great game.
I think 343i took the hint after the backlash they got from the misleading ad campaign for H5, and are being more judicious with what information they choose to release. Plus, if you check out the bevy of Youtube videos and articles that speculate on Halo Infinite’s story, the marketing is pretty much being user generated at this point (but you gotta take all that with a grain of salt since it is just speculation after all).
It might be swinging the pendulum too far in the other direction, but the lack of information being released makes me want to get the game even more. you’re concerns are valid though, and I really hope that doesn’t happen.
Just wait until Gears 5 has had its share of heavy advertising. It will be Infinite’s turn soon after.
Nah H6 will get TONS of marketing. Look at Microsoft’s smaller games like Sea of Thieves, that game got a bunch of marketing and is not nearly as important as Halo. Microsoft knows marketing is very important.
Halo 5’s ads were mainly misleading because the story suffered a whole re-write mid-development. Halo Infinite will likely not suffer the same and should present the content seen in trailers in the retail release. Otherwise, another flop… or not.

I agree
