I’m trying to mop up some achievements/going a little nuts with completion goals before H6I’s release. I currently (and for the last 7 years) have been sitting at 860G and I’d like to get the full 1000G. I gave my copy to a friend even before MCC launched so I have no way of checking myself.
First off, Multiplayer no longer works, right?
Second, do achievements even still pop if the online service is disabled?
third, does it work on Windows 10 or even 8?
There is no legitimate way to unlock the online achievements since you cannot play online anymore.

I have never played Halo 2 Vista so I can’t tell you for sure, but this is what I have read about the subject online:
The multiplayer servers are shut down, but the game is still connected to Games For Windows, so you can still sign into your Xbox Live account and get achievements. This makes it so you can still get the singleplayer achievements.
