I got Halo MCC back around Christmas and it has never worked properly. The update that was released a couple days ago was supposed to fix it. It worked for one day for me and now it’s not working again. This was the free game in my bundle and if I had known it would never work I would have gone with Destiny instead. Since Halo MCC is not working properly I want to return it and I want a copy of Destiny. I’m not exactly sure about the relationship between 343 and Bungie but this doesn’t seem unreasonable to me.
Thanks.
I suggest you wait it out. In all due time, the MCC will work. Patience is key.
If you didn’t buy the bundle from a Microsoft Store - either a brick and mortar store or online - you would have to speak to your retailer about replacing the game. As it was bundled with your box, there is almost no chance they will give you a refund. They may offer you store credit or possibly let you swap it.

Most likely won’t happen. Even if you go directly to Microsoft, they’ll revert back to these forums and “assure” you that someone from 343i will respond(haha yeah right). Best bet is to hit up Bravo on twitter, he’s the community manager and a helpful person for the most part. Twitter is @brav I believe, but I’m not going to guarantee your request will get granted.

You would have to take this matter up with the retailer you bought your bundle from, since 343 and Bungie have no say is what console bundles either Microsoft or retailers sell.

I bought it from a Microsoft Store, well a kiosk anyway. It was the holiday bundle with Assassin’s Creed and another free game. I chose Halo MCC for my free game which I now regret. I tried talking to Xbox support and they told me that I need to talk to 343. All I want is to swap it for Destiny because I could actually play that with my friends online. Xbox support also told me I could try to take it back to the retailer but since I don’t have the receipt anymore I really doubt they are going to help me.
If you paid with a credit card you may be able to use your credit card statement as proof of purchase. That works in the UK, not sure how US policies work on that unfortunately. I always tend to keep receipts for big purchases, just in case
The Microsoft Store swapped it for me. Thanks for the help amigos.
Sad that Halo never worked out for you, but glad you managed to get things sorted out
