I purchased a game that was sold to me not working. In fact, a game that was sold to me more than likely knowingly broken.
In most industries this would be the cause of major lawsuits.

“Game Experience May Differ During Online Play”…that line alone would allow for the lawsuit to be thrown out. It is tagged somewhere to every single game that has online capabilities.
You can refund it if you got it digitally. Just go to Xbox.com support and chat (don’t even have to call).
