Reducing the chance of trading please.

Possibly my biggest pet hate on Reach is how common it is that you’re gonna trade with someone in a DMR duel. It’s probably not so common on Vanilla playlists, but I usually stick to MLG so I wouldn’t know. I can usually pump out a five shot with the DMR and usually my opponent can considering I play a lot of scrims with people my same skill level. Therefore most duels just end up as a trade. Even though one of us would obviously shoot first we’d still trade.

I could also pump out 4 shots fairly consistenly on H3 and so could my opponents for the same reason but the chances of us trading were so much lower.

Hopefully they could fix this in H4, but I dunno. I think it’s to do with net coding.

Anyone else want this to happen?

trading?
am i missing something here?

Killing each other at the same time.

I also want this to be eradicated from Halo 4, but I want it to work well and not just be random or something.

I will take trading every day vs someone having host and my shot not registering at all and even though I know that I shot them they walk it off like a trooper. If it is possible to make it to where you don’t trade when you do indeed win the encounter that would be ideal, but I don’t know how many times in H3 due to the way bullets connected I would shot someone but they lived due to network setup. Hitscan FTW.

I’d just like it if people die when they’re meant to and the other one survives when they’re meant to. Even if this means that I die a hell of a lot more.

This is one of the major things that makes Reach some different form online to LAN. H3 only e to LAN was hardly different (excluding the fact that there was no lag).

I don’t see it happen very much. I really don’t think too much of it. I don’t have a problem with it.

It’s called skill. Get some

What playlists do you play normally? I’m just interested because I literally never play non-MLG playlists unless it’s with a friend and we just mess around so I never pay attention to something like that.

Ooh er… Look who we have here!

Is this an appropriate time to ask for a 1v1 and then post the 15-0s on the Internet?

I play pretty much everything else but MLG. I have it happen more with a sniper than anything, but still not much.

It’s better than loosing because the other guy has host.

Neither of you know the definition of skill so I would suggest you both stop fighting.

I’ll trade you one Ultra Rare Johnson for a Limited Edition Chief.

Trading is an utterly intractable problem in the context of worldwide matchmaking, due to the laws of physics and causality.

Given the circumstances, trading is by far the most fair outcome. On his screen, he shot you first. Its far better than a host juggernaut like in halo 3.
