Reduced melee damage

Would anyone like to see a reduction in melee damage so it is a 3 hit kill instead of a 2 hit?
I’m frustrated with people who just sprint up and double melee, you don’t get any time to do anything aside from double melee them back, which best results as a trade-off kill.
This happens especially in team snipers. I just played a game where 3 people on the enemy team had melee as tools of destruction… Like come on… you have infinite sniper rifle ammo…

People have been saying this for a long time. Instead we got bleedthrough which a lot of people hated.

Yes please.
Melee would stay dependable, but gun play would be more important in finishing off.

YES Anniversary settings for Melee Damage applied to most playlists please (Living Dead and SWAT don’t need new settings).

Still don’t understand why people cried about this. It worked fine for me. It made Reach much more playable.

If you have infinite sniper amo, then why didn’t you use it?

The thing that bothers me is when someone runs up and smacks you, you smack them back, then suddenly they end up behind you or to the side slightly and you can’t land the 2nd beatdown before they hit you again…so -Yoink!- annoying

I hate going this route, but anyone who hates bleedthrough is a noob. Bleed through has been in just about every halo fps, so now in reach they hated it? It means you die faster, it means you can’t just sprint into close range.

Another whack part of Reach my friend… Game sucks.

Just because it was in a past games doesn’t mean it had to be loved by everyone.
That’s like saying that active downs from the sniper rifle was great in Gears of War just because it was the first game and people used it fine.
It’s entirely possible that someone can simply tolerate what they don’t like until something new comes a long.

Either way, reduced melee damage would be nice.

In the case of halo, most players did prefer bleedthrough. It meant shorter kill times. Plus, without bleedthrough, we got the garbage noob friendly melee system of halo reach

Nice ultimatum there. Good way to trick people into your way of thinking…

Before they’ve never had the option of no bleedthrough. Maybe now those people don’t like it. I’ve heard many complaints of people charging and meleeing in Halo 3 to be very annoying.

If “dying faster” is really the only positive thing about gaming then let’s follow CoD and make it a one hit kill.

If anything bleedthrough is more “noob friendly” as every single player just melees when in range and hopes they’ve won or exchange kills. At least with no bleedthrough you need to think, pay attention to the distance, fire appropriately, pay attention to shields popping, and throwing a melee at the most appropriate time.
