Like my goodness what made you guys think to sit down in a meeting and be like hey you remember that DMR from Reach that everyone hated cuz of the bloom…… yea let’s have that come back and put it in the sidekick and sniper cuz random aim in placing shots is awesome that’ll make the game alot better said no one…. I mean the incompetence is baffling….

Wasn’t a problem with any other Halo. I don’t see why it’s a problem here. You have two weapon slots for a reason. Call me a boomer, but I would love the old BR meta back. You don’t have to spray and pray, and aiming is actually essential to your gameplay when using a BR.

This is such a stupid argument. People like you say this but have no logic to it. Yet the majority wants BR starts. People that say this just don’t wanna have to try. It’s a lazy excuse. BR starts is by far better in every catagory and makes gameplay so much better. Perhaps y’all should play driving games if you don’t want to play people better than you.

Why would you want a weaker less effective weapon??? 
This makes no sense. Y’all come up with every week excuse possible to stay away fro m BR starts because you’re not good with it. Not a single person wants to start with weaker weapons if they can use the better weapon.
Maybe you should go back to Call of Duty or Halo 4 where you can make your own loadout. You clearly have no idea what an arena shooter is or that Halo is heavily based around sandbox gameplay and finding weapons and equipment on the map.
Love the fact that your only argument to the contrary is an ad hominem that I’m bad with the BR.

Buhahahahaha. Halo CE 3 shot pistol. Halo 2 4 shot BR. Halo 3 4 shot BR. Halo 4 4 shot BR. Say again how it isn’t Halo . This is clearly your first or 2nd Halo game.
Halo Reach, Halo 5, and Halo 4 would like a word with you. You can keep going back to your games in prehistoric ages, but it doesn’t mean that the gunplay for each individual found that game enticing for them to stick around.
What needs to happens is that we need to come to a compromise on how the games are played, this is why we need different game play lists. Hopefully, that happens after beta. We all like different aspects of this game, you might like the AR/pistol combo, I like the BR starts like ranked, but hate the absolute sweatyness of ranked gameplay, and I have no where else to go to have BR starts for infinite.
The sand box s already invalidated what are you talking about more than half the weapons in this game all need damage buffs period….

Or just get rid of bloom. Like, the sniper rifle having bloom is the most asinine thing I have ever seen.

I mean it’s just pure incompetence I have no sympathy for this company….
You’re going to have to compensate for this [removing bloom] afterwards because the weapons still have to be balanced with the optimal TTK that it can have, particularly in ranged combat, unless you increase that TTK. Damage falloff, increased recoil, slower projectiles, or a good mix of one or two of those should be used to replace bloom.
I mean, I’ve seen worse things, but come on, man. You’re playing a skill based aiming game, and you’re adding RNG into the mix of your shots. Like, come on, that isn’t fun when RNG dictates if you hit your shots or not.

Agreed 100%. An AR sprayed full auto shouldn’t be beating pistol headshots at mid range, and yet it does currently because of the bloom on pistol causing misses.
The bloom is what forces the sidekick to not be a halo 5 god pistol. Time your shots and you will be fine.
The bloom is the balance so we dont get a broken pistol like halo 5 had. We absolutely do not need to touch the sidekick, it is a sidearm, not a primary.
