why does 343i listen to r/halo when it comes to actual changes in the game vs people over here on Waypoint? You see both Uny and Brav constantly on there daily even just talking to random people making conversation?
From what I’ve seen since they do listen here the only reason I know that is because I haven’t touched reddit and I’ve seen things here being requested and it was implemented after that.
I am not on Reddit, but have seen them respond from time to time here on wp.

Well there is a diffrence between the two the way i see it they look at halo waypoint but dont respond sometimes because of the salty people in these forums compared to reddit.Like today there was the post of some guy saying to shut down 343i because,“he doesn’t trust them.”
Because this forum is extremely toxic and filled with irrational hate.
Also, 343i guys aren’t on Reddit daily, but they do post from time to time, usually at around the same time they’re trying to hype something up, like a new DLC release. They also respond to big bugs/complaints when they’re found. Generally the r/halo community is more mature and less toxic than this place.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. If I was working for 343, I certainly wouldn’t want to reply to these forums because I know I would get bombarded with toxic replies.
Reddit is a hugbox that downvotes any form of criticism.
Beyond is full of intelligent criticism, which is still occasionally useful to developers.
Waypoint is just a bunch of incoherent rambling from all angles.

You are absolutely correct the halo waypoint forums are super toxic all they do is complain without giving logical explanations and constructive criticism but instead say things like,"halo is dying.“or"343 will be the end of halo.”
Because reddit censors anything negative about anything with a sea of downvotes and an auto mod that removes your post if your comment karma is negative. Its safe for them to post there because most of the time, its people that have no issue with the way this franchise is added. I use reddit for news, but posting there is a waste of time.
Been trying to get into reddit as I would like a more positive place to discuss Halo. It seem the majority just come here to complain and make toxic post. It just sucks how the positive post always get hurried by negative one and majority of the times the negative post are always the same thing over and over again.

Pathetic to see such a community heavily biased in 343’s favor while doing their best to hide any form of criticism. What good does that do for us honestly, do their standards really blind them to accept whatever decision 343 makes?

That’s not true at all, right now here’s a few threads critical of Halo on the front page. They’re just not, “343i is ruining Halo”, “Halo is CoD”, “I’m not playing this -Yoink- game anymore and here’s why”, and on and on and on like this forum.
Thread critical of Halo 5 campaign
RP lag thread (OMG he actually wrote please)
Thread critical of vehicle boarding
And of course, the weekly Thursday rant thread (vent your frustrations!)You’re just wrong man, r/halo is just a reasonable place, they don’t downvote everything critical of Halo; just the crap.

At least Uny is on there daily even if neither of them comment on anything, -Yoink- he even commented on a post that barely got more than 6 comments and 20 views and yet no one freaked out. They know crap is happening, but you have to yell loudly (albeit not aggressively or negatively) at 343i enough and they’ll see people care about certain things.

I’m also tired of positive posts that get 343 nowhere for improvement because people have no feedback that can potentially strengthen their quality of games. Those same negative posts continue to pop up because 343 still doesn’t actually address our feedback for their next halo games.

I think its the way these forums work that have turned it into such a negative place. Confrontational and exaggerated threads that generate emotion are stuck on top, because those are the ones most likely to get a response; while regular, well thought out threads which require a bit of thought to respond to are buried quickly underneath them.
That’s why you see the same stuff here day in and day out, because its basically just become an echo chamber at this point. Its sad and I think its one reason why Halo 5 doesn’t have an exploding population. Every time I bring up the game to someone they say something along the lines of, “Man the hate online for that game is crazy”, or “I heard its pay to win.” Makes me facepalm every time.
