In regard to that examiner link. I am unsure as to how old that info is. However it is either referencing the mammoth as the second vehicle, or a vehicle that perhaps did exist at one point. However many times things are scraped out of games.
Remember Bungie kept wanting to put boats in Halo, but it just didn’t work out, so they scrapped it.
Same thing probably happened with 343.
Anyway hopefully there will be some sweet Promethean vehicles in Halo 5.

they never told us they were putting boats in it though until after in there behind the scenes dvd, this is a few months old and was released with a ton of other info that has been seen and true, i know other people besides you that watched leaks and they say there is another vehicle, so we’ll just see in 3 weeks, but im just stating that i believe that there will be another, i respect your opinion.

how ever, they said there would be to new vehicles in the game and we’ve seen 2 new vehicles in the game, those being the mantis and the mammoth, mantis is in multiplayer while the mammoth is campaign only.

Guess I got my hope up. =/ As awesome as the Mantis is…only one vehicle 343i? really? We get all these awesome new maps and weapons and enemies…and only one vehicle? Such a letdown. (BTB wise)
