I was hoping for Terminal or Containment. Valhalla is ok… but I am a bit “meh” about it.
Personally I find that lame because we have enough big maps…

Worst Halo 4 news so far. My love for 343 was previously at an 11/10, but now it’s just short of a 10. Just found your source. That’s extremely upsetting. If that map really is supposed to be like Valhalla, I can say that this is the most disappointing thing I’ve seen in Halo 4 so far. I was hoping for a non-Halo 3 remake, that would actually be a unique map; not just a big open Valley with a hill and some random trees. Although I absolutely love the name of the map (shares the name of a song by Periphery, and a sword in Final Fantasy), I am very disappointed in 343 for remaking such a lackluster map. I’m not saying Valhalla was a terrible map, but I was excited for this remake, and remaking Valhalla is just totally wasting that one remake. That map could EASILY be replaced by any other big, open map, playing a similar way. 343 should have remade a map that we haven’t seen since Halo 2, like Uplift, Terminal, or Turf - something that’s very unique, and not like any other maps.
