Well, if we’re to believe anything 343 has said about this in the past, then we’re about to be inundated with cheaters.

Man this game is going to be great in two years time.
Hope they manage to get a good relaunch out the door once all these basics are running, and keep the momentum ticking in the process.

“Soon” is a loose timeline, because ske7ch mentioned this was POST Winter Update. This means we’re not getting Red Reticle on PC until at earliest the update in March.
Why, oh WHY does it take so long for small, little quality of life features like this to come to Infinite? The game is borderline unplayable on PC without it, with weapons like the Skewer being extremely difficult to use. Is this not as simple as changing a value in a file from a 0 to a 1? Can someone from 343 please explain to me why it’s going to take so much time to get a simple, basic feature that is already present on the MCC? Genuinely curious.

Oh, I know, and I’m not mad at you. I’m just mad that it feels like we have to move a mountain in order to gain access to a feature that’s already in the game.

Correct, as I’ve been saying throughout different threads for weeks now there is a large PC specific update coming sometime between Christmas and spring. Ske7ch was referring to this update.
343 is understaffed currently. They have also been cleaning up the new engine and fixing some tools they use.

I love how basic features that have been so baseline that the idea of launching without them is a joke…counts as good stuff cooking.
I’m happy for my MnK players including my brother.
