So I got onto Halo 5 tonight and tried to match but it kept searching forever. I went to my account and it’s red reputation. Does that mean it’s not going to let me play the game? Yeah I might play music every once and awhile and farm in Warzone, but not a lot and it’s not like I’m sending hate mail to anyone. I payed 60 dollars for the game and now I can’t even play it because someone doesn’t like how I play?! I’m not even breaking the rules, what’s going on?

Stop playing music then. One person having a laugh at the expense of 3 or 11 others is ridiculous. Hope you enjoy the campaign enough to feel like you got your money’s worth

Clearly you don’t understand that someone can report you for breaking the rules even though you didn’t break them. I could go right now and report you for cheating or quit early, even though you didn’t but I’m still able to report you. I shouldn’t be banned from the game if I’m not breaking the rules, just cause you don’t like how I play doesn’t mean I’m breaking the rules.
Jokes aside, maybe you upset one person that much that he got his whole friends list to report you so it looks legit? Even if someone plays music I don’t enjoy, it only takes a second to mute them. I sure wouldn’t go as far as reporting them.

Yes that is true but most people don’t get reported for the sake of reporting. You are doing something causing them to report you. It takes quite a bit of reports to get to the red rep. Playing music over the mic and people will report you for communication. I only report quitters because I can simply mute the music players, but I rarely even report quitters any more since there as so many.
I report afk people every time I see them. That’s about it though. I don’t report people for being annoying. That’s what mute is for.

See that’s what I think happened, but now you and you’re freinds are ruining my gaming experience, that’s not cool AT ALL. and I’m playing music because I want to hear it not to piss people off. If I had a mix amp I would be using it but I dont.

yeah but even if it’s just the music it’s not like that simple thing should make me not able to play the game. like I literally can’t find matches and all causes someone doesn’t know how to mute me? that’s a broken system if you ask me, I rarely play music too.
Why do you have your mic on and also listen to music? Can’t you mute the mic yourself and not make other people have to mute you?

To get out of the red, which I can’t confirm but have been told, go into a online game like GTA 5 and just hang out in the city doing stuff to get your online time up without reports to raise your rep.

Once you are in the red rep it effects all games on multiplayer

If communication is so important to you then listening to music should be secondary. Perhaps it’s the other two guys that you are trying to talk to that don’t want to hear your music.

I’m offering you advice on how to not have it happen again, if it was for playing music.

well this is sure a buzzkill, I can’t even play the game I enjoy because kids are mad how I play? I wouldn’t be tripping if I was cheating and sending hate mail but I dont do either of those. This is serious -Yoink-.

Because I play warzone mostly, like I listen to music maybe once and month or something. And if I’m getting in trouble for communication ban me from talking not from playing the -Yoinking!- game. I truly don’t believe it’s from music, I think it’s from farming. But still that’s not agaisnt the rules at all.
Mute your mic if you’re going to blare your music, nobody wants to hear that. You complain that others are ruining the experience you payed for, when you yourself admit to knowingly ruining the experiences of others. Have a little common courtesy and you won’t be in this situation.
