Does anyone have any idea gameplay wise or even lore wise for what is up with all the red towers with the banished symbol on the ground all around zeta halo? I can only think they had something to do with the 2/3 of the game that had to be cut. Because so far they just function as more serious propaganda towers that cant be destroyed with Atriox’s voice.
I think they are just monuments to the banished, with the marine armor on spikes and Atriox and the Banished symbol.
By the looks of it them and another common landmark the tryspikes are for future objectives.
Yeah deffo for future content. Same with other armour lockers etc.
It’s a tad lazy but you can see why they’ve done it.
I also noticed what looks like teleport pads around the map as well - forerunner looking too

It makes it really easy to just add in ‘new’ content when they want.
“January update - We’ve flicked a switch and enabled enemies spawning in the places you’ve already been multiple times. We’ve also added more 10 armour unlocks in lockers you’ve already found. Enjoy the new patch!”
This might be a bit morbid but it tracks with the darker tone of this game. Many of them have marine armor and helmets scattered around them. With thousands dead on the ring, they could be mass graves….
