What’s up y’all,
So here’s the deal, I’ve decided to put together a “Spartan Company”, but come on, can we just go with “clan” here? It’s worked for plenty of years before this, so let’s just stick with that.
Anyway, I’ve got a good core group of buddies together who are all above average, to very good players who have been playing Halo since we were lugging our CRTs around town in my old minivan for Halo CE LAN parties. Skill-wise, we’ve always been extremely solid and able to compete with just about anybody, but the struggle has been putting together a full, dedicated group of players who can hop on after long day of work/school/whatever and get serious enough to be doing call-outs, strategies, and all manner of serious play it requires to be in the top tier.
So, that’s where this clan comes in to play. I’m looking to assemble a group of 15-20 players like us. We’re looking for above-average players who want to play competitive Arena and are dedicated to putting in the work to climb the ladders and have a damn blast doing it. Essentially, I just want to gather a solid core of players who are already very good skill-wise, but looking to match up with a team of players willing to put in the hard work on the communication and strategy front necessary to take the leap into the highest level of play.
Alongside that, I just want to put together a team of well-adjusted ADULTS who look at Halo like a great way to blow off some steam after a day in the real world, and can genuinely have a fun time while also playing competitively and with purpose. Those of us already in the clan are drama free and always try to have a great sense of humor about the whole thing, even while playing completely seriously for the win, and that’s what we’re looking for from everyone else.
The goal would be to have a decently sized, yet not bloated, roster so that whenever you log on, there’s a crop of good players and good people to team up with, no matter the time. Ideally, you’d always be able to find a team of four to try and crush it in the Arena with, or even put together a massive squad of 12 for some necessary Warzone shenanigans.
That’s about it, and I apologize for the long-winded message, but I wanted to really describe what we’re looking for here in hopes of finding an awesome group of people who share this desire to play this game with at its highest levels for a long time ahead.
The clan is named “Absolute Rapscallions” because… well, it speaks to who we are as a group in an attempt to brand ourselves with a lighter and more fun tone that doesn’t take itself TOO seriously, rather than the usual: “xX 420 Elite Crew Xx” garbage you see everywhere else.
