This is my personal opinion & you can feel free to disagree with me. But I think the Recruit Charred armor & helmet should be a higher rarity, because it’s such a good looking set I don’t understand why 343 would give it a common rarity. For a set that looks THAT good it should at least have an uncommon or rare rarity. Cause I mean seriously, it’s recruit armor with flames & skulls. It doesn’t deserve a common rarity.
Rarity is irrelevant for how valuable or attractive a piece of armor is for someone. For instance, I think most (if not all) of the classic helmets are Rare. Many find those helmets to be the best looking ones. On the flip side, there are some truly vomit-inducing helmets that are listed as Ultra Rare or Legendary. Assigning rarities is simply a method of increasing or decreasing perceived value which plays well into the whole loot box system of the game.

Agreed, definitely just a player perception on the item/s and not the value itself.
I agree with everyone who says rarity is irrelevant. I say just wear what you think looks cool. This late in the game a lot of people have had everything unlocked anyways and I can guarantee that 99% of the people you play against have no clue how rare your armor set is

I agree it deserves to be Ultra Rare. How is Scanner Ultra Rare and Recruit Charred only Rare?
Recruit charred is my favourite set, and I need to be rare
