Recruit and FOTUS are exclusive?

I read somewhere that somebody said that only pre-order skins are exclusive, and all armour sets will eventually be released to the general public. Anyone who can, with hard cold facts confirm or refute this statement?

FOTUS is an exclusive armor for the LE console.

HOWEVER

For the LE version of the game, you only get the Prime skin for the Recruit armor. The Recruit armor is the default armor for all Spartan IVs (your player for War Games/Spartan ops).

Like I said on one of my posts: You will get the armour in-game by default and rank unlock no matter what (excluding FOTUS).
You will get the skin for the specific armour if you pre-order from the retailer you selected.
However, you will not get the skin that’s specific for the armour.

Recruit is default. :frowning:

How is that a bad thing again? Very much unlike anything that’s given at default, it actually looks really good.

The helmet does look like the next gen ODST helmet however. At least to me.

Wait, so Warrior isn’t the default armour set after all? I guess that makes sense.

I guess that’s good news anyways, Recruit has by far the best looking helmet.

It’s understandable to think Warrior was default because that was the first helmet shown in the earlier builds of Halo 4. It does have that “default” look to still but alas, it is Recruit that is the standard armor.

Whilst Warrior isn’t default, it is described as being the most mainstream armour used by Spartan IV’s (paraphrase). Read the description of it.

I already know this? That’s why i told him Recruit is default :P. The difference is already known to me. I was explaining the fact that it was the first helmet seen (The two RVB trailers and beta/alpha builds), which is why it was mistaken to be default (at first anyways).

That’s really sad 'cause I thought LE buyers were the only ones with the Recruit armor.

No, you guys who purchased the LE were never promised exclusive armor; You were however, promised to get the Prime Skin for the Recruit Armor and a skin (i think it’s Prime too) for the MA5D Assault Rifle (ICWS).

Straight from the site, this is when 343/BS Angel posted the details on the LE for Halo 4

Like the Mark VI helmet in Halo’s 2 & 3, I’m very glad the Recruit is the default armor in Halo 4.

I think FOTUS should be an unlockable or atleast later down the road. Even if it does look rather silly.

None of the preorders have armors. Just armor skins.

The LE is an armor skin.

The console is an armor.

And I would assume that everything that isn’t the LE or console will be sold later. Mebbe not the Season Pass Helmets though.

Oh really? That relieves me somehow thanks for the info.

Oh, wow. I did not realize that only the SKIN would be exclusive. Thank you so much for clarifying this! Sadly, this is another reason for me to downgrade to the standard edition.

Actually, multiple retailers showed that we received both the armor and skin. Even some of -Yoink!- original info releases showed that we got both. It that wasn’t true you wouldn’t have seen the uproar that there was when it was clarified.

No. You people aggrevate me. Pre-orders should be unlockable at some time because of the massive amount of them. However, Edition Exclusives should NEVER be handed out. They should be a reward for spending the extra money.

If you people want FOTUS, then buy the code off someone or buy the console.

ffs.
