Is it only me or does anybody else want any of he old halo’s to be recreated on
Xbox one? I loved the flood so it’d be awesome if they recreated halo 1 like they di in combat evolved!
The Xbox One should have ports for the old Halo titles on its marketplace. One thing that pisses me off is most 360 titles won’t even be playable on it, let alone the original xbox titles. I mean for -Yoinks!- sake, even the PS3 could play PS2 and PS1 titles.
As for full fledged remakes like CE Anniversary, no. Waste of time.
I agree with Ramir3z77. Remakes take up a lot of time and resources that could be used on subsequent titles. And ports wouldn’t really be necessary if Microsoft simply made the console backwards compatible with a firmware update, similar to what they do with the Xbox 360 every year.
Nothing halo is a waste of time! To claim that would be heresy… and then we’d have to make you an arbiter. Id love to see a halo 2 remake simply for the fact that i never got the chance to get my hands on an Xbox copy of Halo 2. so being able to play it XBX1 would be fantastic! and because there working within an existing game and simply improving upon it, it should not drain there resources to the point of all stop on Halo 5.
I’m not planning on getting rid of my Xbox 360, so it doesn’t really matter to me because I can just play 360 games on my 360.
I think it’s pretty obvious that both Sony and Microsoft realized that being backwards compatibility just isn’t worth it to support. Do you know how backwards compatibility works on the 360? Every game has its own unique “emulation profile.” That means that every game needs to be individually tested for compatibility. This was an undertaking even for the Xbox’s relatively small library of games. But for the Xbox 360’s? That’s a lot more to ask for.
Now, would I like it if the Xbox One was backwards compatible? Of course. But Microsoft doesn’t owe that to anyone.
