This is a group for all people that used to abuse Active Camo, but have now changed there ways.
This place is a fellowship of Halo players who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from the abuse of Active Camo. The only requirement to join is a desire to stop using Active Camo. There are no dues or fees for membership. This support group is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay away from Active Camo and help other Recovering Active Camo Users to achieve fair game play.
Please share your stories of how you turned away from this AA, and what you are doing to prevent further use. This is not a place to rant on about how you dislike 343i, this -weapon- needs buffed/ nerfed, or etc.
Hi, My name is xXBlue FalconXx. I’m a ex- Active Camo user. I like to play Big Team Slayer. So naturally the temptation to “Camo Camp” was high. Initially what drew me to AC was it brought me back memories of H2 while playing as the Arbiter. I’m a big Arbiter fan, and AC allowed me to somewhat play out the role of Arbiter. It was too easy to use AC to get the first jump on people, or to get easy snipes. However recently, I see the damage I do to other players while abusing this AA. So I have stopped using this Ability altogether. I still need a few more perfection commendations so the urge to use AC is still there, but I’ll do my best to not use it.
Hi, my name has been redacted due to none of your business reasons. I was an habitual and chronic abuser of Active Camo in Halo: Reach and at the beginning of Halo 4. With the change 343i has implemented by replacing the red dot radar jammer with the blue dot hey i’m right here radar effect, I have long replaced AC in almost all of my LO’s with either Jetpack or Thruster Pack.
I was a major AC user in Reach a scored assassinations like crazy in Sword Base with it. Then I try it in Halo 4 and whenever I use it, I usually have 2 other people using it as well. So I find it a pointless AA with everyone using it so much and now rely on good old crouch-walking.

Can’t say or i’ll get in trouble as you can see stat flaming isn’t allowed also your English is bad. You should have said you haven’t unlocked camo yet not you don’t unlocked just being helpful :).

I used Active Camouflage a couple times before, but I was never a habitual abuser. I typically use Thruster Pack, but recently I’ve started using Promethean Vision (almost as awesome as AC). Those make for fairer gameplay. I commend you for turning from your cheapass ways and now accept you as decent human being.

Hi my name is mike and I am a former camo user.
Been clean for 2 months now. Camo in btb just made it too easy and boring. I had to switch it up. I wish camo would just be an ordinance powerup like speed or power boost.
I use active camo and will continue to do so not an addict tho i use lost of different armour abilities and will continue to do so :).
You should have imo made a thread for DMR and Boltshot users they need rehabilitation into using other weapons because this is what is most annoying about the game but tolerable :).
Hopefully though with the upcoming TU they will nerf these which bring back weapon variety just like the varitey we see with armour abilities which imo is a good thing :).
