Where do I go for Recon unlock? Haven’t played Halo 3 for awhile and just wanted to know where to get it.
For the Xbox 350 version of Halo 3, it’s not longer possible to unlock Recon - hasn’t been for well over a year now I’m afraid. I believe though that if you have the Master Chief Collection, you can use Recon there 
You need to complete the Vidmaster achievements in Halo 3 and ODST
I’m pretty sure it became unlocked for everyone once Bungie.net got rid of their Halo section. I am still one vidmaster away from all 7 but I can use recon.
For the Xbox 360,you have to unlock all vidmaster achievements for Halo 3 and Halo 3:ODST.Here is a list of the following achievements in order to unlock recon on xbox 360.

Lightswitch - Get the rank of Lieutenant in any playlist in the new EXP progression system. - Annual - After 9/25/08, complete Halo (Final level) on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and everyone in Ghosts. - 7 on 7 - Get a ranked/social playlist with 7 exp on the 7th month - Brainpan - Find all the hidden skull on the Mythic maps.Halo 3: ODST

Endure - In Firefight, on any mission, pass the 4th set on 4-player Heroic LIVE co-op. - Deja Vu - Finish Coalstal Highway on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with the Iron skull on and without using Warthogs and Tanks. - Classic - Finish any Campaign level on Legendary solo without shooting or throwing a grenade (Power sliding and honking the horn on vehicles will be counted as shooting/grenade throwing)Hope this helps you out.

One you have 4 people and Iron enabled, 4 ghosts spawn in one of the underground areas at the start of the level. There are a bunch of Rock Launchers there as well, each with about 99 ammo or something like that. Halopedia has some details on it and a walkthrough
Once 343 took over Halo from Bungie, there was no way to earn all the Vidmaster achievements anymore, so 343 gave everyone Recon for free.

I think you needed to have played during the unlock periods and contact bsangel if you still didn’t have it, but they did give it out in a few waves. As has been said, it’s not possible to get any more unless you have MCC.

What??? Insane… I guess its time to hop back onto Halo 3 now.

Oh ok.
Recon is for Bungie members only and seeing as they don’t own Halo anymore…the chances of getting it now are very slim.
Do really need the recon armor can some tell me wen I can get recon

Recon isn’t only for Bungie members and the chances of getting it now are zero, as explained above.

Actually it is possible to complete the vidmaster achievements still.
Also, they did give out recon to everyone who had at least 1 vidmaster achievement.

Yes but some of the vidmaster challenges needed to be completed LIVE, and I’m not all too sure that 343 is gonna sit and watch people on Twitch when Halo 5 is a few months away.
