So how many people actualy have this armor skin unlocked im almost there i have just the last levels to complete for the plasma pistol and the carbine, and I think i have th 4th working on the 5th level for the storm rifle and i have the plasma grenade maxed out so anyne actualy already have it.
I obtained it a few months ago, but to be honest, I like the standard Recon armor better. SURGE was a so-so, however, I wish we had the ability to change the skin, if you know what i mean.

Yea Like Change the Pattern itself if hats what you mean it would be cool i just want to have a different armor set for it i like recon though im like my recruit prime also the only problem i have is how my scout toxic armor skin wont show in spartan ops kinda sucks because thats the way it is with the DLC for the champions bundle you know people pay for something to not show up in the entire game and the reason it cant be fixed is a bit understandable theres an aperant risk of breaking the game probably like nothing will load or something who knows. But 2012 and 2013 have been exciting but im very very excited about the next gen game that still has yet to be revealed. but yea im almost to the surg armor id say the rate im going at ill have the plasma pistol done in around 3 days i got system down on free for fall it includes running around with the storm rifle to weekend people then shoot with the plasma though i do get irritated because i feel like some people see me getting close for the kill with the plasma pistol and step in at the last second to ruin it lol i usualy average 3 to 10 kills per game with the PP
the carbine i can be done with that in a day i only got around 212 kills to go and i can get average 12 to 20 kills per game with it on big team battle havent had much experience with getting a kill with the storm in a while just been using it to lower sheilds but i know at mid to close range it can be devastating it ;leaves the target in justba shock and aww and not much time to react. once those are done ill have my surg skin if thats the full name for it then yea but can i ask what the full name is by chance. another reason is i want a skin not many have kinda a rare one of a kind style you know im sure alot of people dont have it do to the lack of patience for the plasma gun.
I haven’t got it :’( mastering the plasma pistol is a Herculean task!

I hope next game dosen’t these type of commendations takes to long and it is a bit annoying.
I don’t think I’ve made any headway towards this skin. I didn’t really care for Recon in H4. The breather apparatus thing looked way too large for the helmet and the slanted visor struck me as a little odd.
Granted, between the two versions available, standard and Surge, I did prefer the appearance of the surge skin.
For anyone working on the PP, try this:
2-shot, melee, then shoot again. I found this to be the best way to get PP kills on matchmaking. I got a video on my fileshare where I use this on exile to get like 3 or 4 kills in one minute. The only problem is that you have to get very close and most times people will just stick you.

The Onyx commendation for automatics in Reach was 25,000 (and 32,000 to max it out).
But yeah Reach’s commendations were better.
OPs method for PP worked for me though I used the assault rifle not the storm as already mastered storm. I sympathise with you when other players steal your kill with a single head shot. only other advice I could add is to play FFA maps with overshields and keep an eye on the timer from pick up (90 secs abandon, adrift 120 dispatch, simplex).
I cant help but notice ricochet playlist being full of helpless noobs. maybe grind in there too.
set an obtainable daily target and youll have it done in no time.

I finally mastered the plasma pistol ll i can say is find a way that works for you that averages between 5 to 10 kills per game mine was free for all. but now all i need is the storm rifle which in my opinion seems to be kinda weak mpst the covenant weapons seem outmatched compared to the UNSC ones but ones thats finished ill sport my SURG skin all the time.
Maxing Covy ordnance was bad enough. Forget Covy loadout.
I’m all SWAT now. See how many BR kills I can rack up before H5 comes out.
Eh, I got full Forerunner mastery and I’m almost done with UNSC…but when it comes to Covenant I’ve got like 7% :C
I wish commendations counted the time you had the weapon drawn or something instead of kills because some weapons have unique niches, the PP and Sticky Detonator among them.
343 needs to put a Paintball gametype into Action Sack for those looking to get their Covie fix.
I would’ve like to see the plasma pistol commendation requirements be: get kills OR emp assists with this weapon. Or make the amount of kills less.
emp’s would be too easy, less kills with pp would do just fine… what i hate the most about the pp is the low ammo…
however it’s very obvious that 343 didn’t give a single thought on the weapon commendations, cuz they simply made only if 2 or 3 different killing goals for 31 weapons !!!
u need more kills with pp than with a rocket launcher, or same kill amount between boltshot and pp… that’s limited…

“Too easy”? Like maxing the sniper rifle, pistol or carbine is difficult? They’re all just grinds, nothing more. The only difference is that the PP grind is one that your team has to suffer for as well since you’ll die more than if you played normally.
EMP’s always should’ve counted. That is after all the PROPER use of the PP.
If the plasma pistol had been more of a viable weapon it would help. It’s too weak as a weapon.
