I guess it makes sense to put your Armor Ability on LB, like in Reach, but is it okay with X being Sprint? Sprint is like the only AA I use in Matchmaking.
When your running forward, and you do a sharp turn to assassinate a guy, your right thumb would be on the Sprint and not the toggle to turn, right? You’d pass right by…
I am just used to the Recon scheme, but I am also used to Sprint on LB. I thought of X being the AA, but in a Jetpack or whatever, you wouldn’t turn again. I’m just trying to put everything in the books here. I want change, just not hand cramps
Well for sprint you never really had to hold down the LB in reach to continue to sprint so im assuming that they would do the same thing with X where you toggle it and then take your thumb off of X so you can use the RS. So it’s not really something to be concerned about.
Supposedly, sprint is much more steerable. So, maybe you won’t even have to desprint most of the time in that situation. After this weekend i’m sure we’ll have plenty of footage.
at first i was worried about the same thing but then i thought about it and i would rather have control over my view and AA at the same time that sprint and view. Just because with the AA of Thruster, Hard Light Shield, and PV, it would be way more important to be able to tap LB to activate it while not sacrificing you looking stick. Also it’s not like you have to hold down x to sprint, it’s just a quick tap. go pick up a controller and imagine yourself trying it, it doesn’t seem that bad.
Sprint is on LB in Reach because that’s the AA I’d rather have in most cases when Evade isn’t available. Having my tactical-use ability as LB is natural, not sprint.
It’s melee going back to B with Action being a bumper that I have a problem with. Taking my thumb off the stick to open a door, jack a vehicle or reload is more acceptable than doing the same to melee.

Didn’t think of it like this yet. If this is true then I am 100% happy with Recon.
