Just heard that recon was unlocked for everyone. I made a new account and have been playing 2 days and it still isn’t unlocked. It isn’t unlocked on my old account that is a silver member, which is over 5 years old but hasn’t been a gold member for the last 2 or 3 years. How long does it take to get it?
Recon isn’t being unocked for anyone anymore. 343i ran a few waves of unlocking for accounts a while back, but will no longer be doing so. I can’t remember where it was announced, but it should be on the forums somewhere. A quick search should find it or other threads discussing it

Man I wish there was a sticky post that 343i can give one last wave for recon because my account missed it and my older accounts recieved everything but they’re lost. It’s also my favorite armor helmet too

Its not that 343 wont do another last Recon wave, its because they can’t. They no longer use or have access to the “legacy tech” used to unlock the armour or update the playlists. Recon armour is now officially locked permanently in the Xbox 360 version of Halo 3.
i hope because i spent a long time getting it in halo 3 to odst

Probably a troller who nailed you. 343 wouldn’t just give recon to everyone; that would be unfair to the people who worked hard to earn it

A quick search in the forms would tell you that Recon is no longer obtainable in Halo 3 and hasn’t been for a few years now. This is also mentioned further up in this topic
