Recon Helmet from Halo Reach in Halo 5?

Hello everyone,

This is Merc0619 here. Big fan of Halo, and Halo: Reach was my one-time favorite out of the series. I was looking through the possible Helmet permutations for Halo 5: Guardians and just previewing them and I suddenly come across none other than the special Recon helmet that one can get from Halo: Reach, right next to the Recon BDA helmet in the side-scroll. Normally, the Recruit PROVEN helmet would be there, but in the side-scroll feature where you can preview your armor, instead of the Recruit its the Halo: Reach Recon helmet. Supposedly a Rare REQ, is it actually obtainable? Or is it the Recon helmet one can only get from that AXE promotion thing? If I could add a picture, it would be easier to explain, but I’ll just add a link here to the armor preview list:

It’s part of a new update that’s coming to Halo 5 in the future bud.

Looking at the list, something’s telling me that the EVA Gen1 will be used again by Tucker in RvB, if a new season comes out.

Same here. I’m just decided whether to put it on Reach armor or the Mark V Alpha armor. I hate the helmet, but the armor for Aloha is pretty legit.

I think I’m going to continue to use the EVA LEONOV armor I have currently with the Delta helmet. It’s probably my most favorite in the game. I really like the Anbius helmet with it. But it it’s time to change it up as soon as the next content update drops.

I’m a fan of the EVA as well. But for some reason I always prefer the armor that has the COD piece(aka space diaper). Any armor that doesn’t have it just looking weird to me.

That’s one thing I do miss. I feel like the armors really need the COD piece. I wasn’t too fond of their decision to cut it in Halo 4. First place we found out about it getting removed was from the second teaser trailer.

I love how they’re adding it to new armors though, so it’s progress at least.

I may rock the Delta with the MK. VI Satrap body; looks really good to me.

But let’s face it: the horrendous Alpha looks like a damn hamburger. It’s too rounded, too squat, and it looks like a mess. There’s no beef in that thing!

If you want to see what any of the new helmets look like with current Halo 5 armour all you have to do is go to your service record (On Halo Waypoint) then customise spartan and scroll all the way to the end and all the helmets will be there. Even though they are locked you can still preview them and they all look great!
