I used to play with Recon, but I recently changed to Halo 4’s control layout. It fits really well for me on Halo 5. Good luck to you once you get Halo 5!
A: Jump (Use near a ledge to clamber.)
B: Melee (Use when sprinting to Spartan Charge. Hold while in mid air to Ground Pound.)

Wow that controller setup seems weird compared to the new ones but yea I see why it can be the best setup it’s like the original games.

I dislike the new ones I can never get used to them! Even the reach default was annoying to me.
Fair warning: If you want to use all of halo 5’s abilities, learn to claw or avoid recon. You can’t aim Ground Pound without clawing.

Just use your other thumb bruh. It is kinda weird, but I’ve gotten pretty good at it. Recon just feels right to me.

when i didnt have the elite controller i used recon i never calwed and still was able to groundpound. now with the elite controller the controller scheme is godlike idk how people crouch jump with bumper jumper is impposible for me

Same I chose H4 over recon
I was doing claw for a while until I learned that you can get carpal tunnel from it, I sometimes switch back for a few hours but I usually don’t. But Recon without claw works fine on Halo 5 for me.

I have used claw ever since I learned about it in Halo 2. I have never played without claw since then, for any game lol. Even when playing on a Playstation I would claw, even though it would feel a little weird.
I used Recon in H4 but i dont like it in H5 since they brought back Descoping
i just run default controls
