So how are people going to get recon armor in Halo 3 when you had to unlock recon armor on bungie.net?
is hallowwaypoint going to add it on their browser or what.?
Not sure, although I’m pretty sure you can get it through the Mythic Halo 3(second disc of ODST). Which yes will be backwards compatible from what I’ve heard. Because in regular Halo 3 I don’t have it, but in Mythic Halo 3 I have it. I think it might be a glitch, I’m not sure.

Are you sure? I have the Mythic H3 MP disc and don’t have it at all…

Hmm, interesting! I guess it has to be glitch for me!
343i gave it out in waves to anyone who’d played Halo 3 a few years ago. They stopped doing it and since the b.net stats are frozen there’s currently no way for new players to unlock Recon armour. They might start unlocking it again, and if they do I hope they include the Bungie chestpiece as well.

343 no longer have the ability to unlock Recon and haven’t since around 2014. Unless you already have it unlocked, there is no longer any way that it can be given out again.

I actually got it the hard way by unlocking all vidmaster achievement. Then I hear it’s being just given out. Talk about a huge slap to the face Bungie/343i
I have it on my Halo 3 disc and Mythic disc because I got it when it was given in waves (only missed one Vidmaster 
). I was worried about not having it on BC but I think I will because it moves over your Xbox 360 stuff to the Xbox One.

You will because all your multiplayer progress is stored server side, not locally on your HDD.

Surely you can still get it? It’s unlocked for achieving 49 achievements in the game.

Recon can longer be unlocked by Bungie or 343, as noted above
good halo 3 stat support was dropped awhile back dude along with recon,nameplates sadly
