Recognizing our legacy players in Halo: Infinite

Hello all,
as we all know, the next installment of Halo, Halo: Infinite, will launch at the end of this year- perfectly aligned with Halo’s 20th Anniversary. But with the launch of a new game comes the end of (a majority of) legacy support for older Halo games.
Thankfully we have MCC, so that we can continue to matchmake in our favorite games. But I feel with the release of this new Halo, we should pay homage to the dedicated players who have stuck with the franchise through thick and thin.

Players like myself, and definitely countless others, have stuck by Halo through good times, and not so good times. At the end of all this though, it has been players like us that brought hope for the continuation of the franchise time and time again- for our enjoyment, and the growth of the Halo community as a whole.

In the new game, I think it would be pretty awesome to see 343 honor some of the oldest and most dedicated players of the franchise with an emblem or armor coating. Just a thought though!

Really though, I want to say thanks to this wonderful community for sticking together all these years- from Halo CE to Halo 5, and soon, Halo Infinite. You guys have been great, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us all!

Well said. Through everything, we never gave up. The ones that stayed with this franchise since the beginning and through the hardships are the real ones fr.

I don’t know. They didn’t do it with MCC and adding some sort of individual honor, legacy, or recognition so I don’t see it happening for Infinite either.

I very sadly agree. I begged.
It would be a wonderful gesture.
I’m biased that this would be a great idea, you wouldn’t want the honor?

Well I’m not buying Infinite so short answer is no. However I’d love some sort of legacy or recognition in the MCC, especially in regards to being Inheritor rank in OG Reach. I’d love to see that recognized in there for sure. And just for the record I have no issue with what you want, I’m just merely giving my opinion as to why I don’t think it’ll happen.

I think it will be funny to log into xbox and see if any of my friends from reach 11 years ago still play.

It would be nice of them to show any appreciation for long-time fans in Infinite.
Here’s an idea. For anyone who’s ever played Modern Warfare 3. Next to your name/Gamertag to shows the ranks from the four previous CoD games.
Have something like that in Infinite that shows your ranks from H3, HR, H4 & H5.

343 doesnt want to do anything like this.
Or anything with og stats.
Its depressing

Wasn’t it enough that they included a “Halo Score” on this website and then released games with broken achievements (China MCC) and discontinued the iOS games?

Honestly though, MCC was a service in itself - and for the first two years of its existence, they shouldn’t have been focusing on anything else EXCEPT fixing the damn game.

I just have fond memories of playing Reach and booting it up and getting extra credits for the armory for playing all the prior Halo games. I would love to see that again.
