Reclamation?

With the Halo 4-6 being dubbed the ‘Reclaimer Trilogy’ and all that, along with some other things, I was just thinking, what if the humans did actually reclaim the Forerunner technolgy?

The Flood seem to be set to return with the Forerunner books, the two weapons against the Flood are in play (Halo and the Prometheans), the UNSC is manipulating the Forerunner technology now (Infinity and what used to be Onyx {Can’t recal Kurt’s surname}) and it’s called the Reclaimer trilogy. It’s possible that Bias is coming back with the Flood in Spartan Ops, too…

It might be just me, but I can see the trilogy playing out with the Flood returning and the Chief allying with the Prometheans against them, and then after the Didact is defeated the Prometheans side with the humans and the refitted UNSC taking on the Precursors, or their proxies.

This is just my forming theory, but what do you guys think? We’ll know a lot more once Spartan Ops gets it’s next batch of episodes and the last Forerunner novel comes out, but still.

Humanity will definitely reclaim the legacy left behind by the Forerunners and assume the Mantle, and the Flood will probably reappear in the next two games, but I doubt 343 is going to do anything with Bias, and I’m not sure about an alliance with the Prometheans.

Mendicant Bias had his redemption, though, I don’t think he would be malicious.

My bet is that as Humanity begins to reclaim what was left behind by the Forerunners, they will soon realize the larger game that is afoot. I think we will probably learn about the Flood’s return in-game during Halo 5 and their actual return will be in Halo 6.

As far as the Prometheans and the Didact goes, I think personally they will never be allied with us. The only reason they were allied with us in the first place was because of the Librarian assuming control while their link to the Didact was broken.

However, I do think it is possible that somewhere in between Halo 5 - Halo 6 that Humanity might gain access to the Domain. I think that would be a very interesting event to take as the knowledge given from it would be quite contradicting to the current events today i.e. Humanity’s cleansing of flood-infested Forerunner planets.

That sounds like a pretty dumb idea IMO. Halo 5 is supposed to be the darkest Halo we’ve seen, and the Flood And/or Precursors returning sounds pretty dark to me.

The disc space provided by Next Gen technology will allow the next Campaign to be much longer and deeper in details, so I would imagine we will indeed see the real threat during Halo 5. It would not make any sense for the Flood or something worse to come to light, attempt to destroy everything we thought we knew in Halo 5.

I don’t think it’s dumb, but it does seem like the Perfect Storm to bring the Flood back (Halo 5).

The Flood would be a dark introduction if they did do it in Halo 5, but honestly to me I can’t see them putting their return until Halo 6. I think they will definitely be mentioned and/or hinted at returning in Halo 6 during 5, but I think that if they introduced the flood just plainly i.e. random return, it will just ruin their effect on the story.

That is why I feel that Halo 5 will be more of a build-up/preparation for their return in Halo 6, with Halo 5 making it seem we have no hope left (Maybe a few possible deaths of important characters).

Sometimes I get quite fearful of the term “darkest halo yet” does this mean that chief will witness ONI halo’ing Sangheili held worlds because reasons?
