I see 343 has commented about the recent server issues so I know they still monitor these forums in some capacity. My question to you, 343 studios, is why is such a simple thing as server maintenance an issue in the first place? Granted, I know nothing about this having no background in the field but it’s such a basic thing that every online game relies upon so it can’t be something foreign to people that work in the online gaming industry. For months now, games have been difficult to get into not because of low population but because of random search restarts…not to mention all of the times you are put into a matchmade game and during the voting process you(or multiple other players in that game) are booted back to the lobby for absolutely no reason. What gives, what’s the problem here? Why do we never get a response about the underlying issues that have been plaguing this game off and on for the past couple years?
Reach is no longer a fully supported game and running on very old tech - meaning working with and maintaining it gets increasingly harder as time goes on, the smallest thing can affect it. With the teams main focus being on Infinite, MCC, Halo 5 and Halo Wars 2, getting resources available to look into these kinds of things probably aren’t going to be a priority and will take a bit of time
