The game has been supported for the past 7 years, sorry for taking their word that ODST FF would be coming after play testing it in a flight.

Technically the game was supported for only 15 months before it was viscously mutinied upon.
All jokes aside MCC only got about 15-18 months of support post-launch, then Halo 5 launched, MCC wasn’t touched again until 2019 so in reality we’ve only had about 3-ish total years of support for MCC.

Technically, most of CEA and H2A recycled Reach and Halo 3 assets, which is why they feel no need to give Reach and 3 an Anniversary edition.
On top of that, any Anniversary Edition plans died when H2A was made into MCC, just as MCC supplanted Halo 3&ODST getting a standalone PC port from Saber with all the Halo Online content packaged in.
