Please correct me if I’m wrong, but was there a recent interview, where it was revealed that the ending of the Discover Hope trailer was actually set in the control room of installation 04, that Chief had gone back to “retrieve/ rediscover something lost”, or words along those lines…is that the case?
I f so, I vaguely remember (or think I do) that Cortana left a fragment of herself there for some reason towards the end of CE, around the time you return to the control room area & go around getting ready to destroy the ring?
Is anyone able to link to the interview please? I can’t find it anywhere but I’m convinced I didn’t dream this lol.
I dont think there is any interview saying where anything was in the discover hope trailer.
Don’t recall any interviews like that, but the ring’s damage looks consistent with 04.
Might have been a dream. Might have been a YouTube speculation.
Installation 04’s control room doesn’t exist anymore. That ring was blown up. In the off chance that a shard of the ring containing the control room was still intact, the control room wouldn’t have any power.
Sounds like you heard some Youtube speculation and took it as something more.

Wouldn’t the ring from Halo Wars 2 (and possibly end of Halo5) be yet another Installation 04?

In a way, but I did mean the actual original physical Installation 04

You’re likely right in fairness and I heard it on a video…but on the topic of the ring having no power supply after being “destroyed”…whilst that makes sense, it also doesn’t? I don’t see how a race as advanced as the Forerunners, wouldn’t have had redundancy and backup systems in place?
Sorry if this seems a bit nit picky, just curious.
