Is it just me or has there been a major increase in forum activity lately? Seems like there used to be 10-100 people in matchmaking, and 200 or so in Halo 4. Now there are hundreds online in each forum and 10000+ in the Halo 4 forum.
Anyone know why this has occurred? Is it just E3 crowds? Or was the number online not accurate before recently? Or is the number not accurate now?

You know, the actual activity hasn’t seem to have gone up, though. Sure the Halo 4 section is busier, but there is actual news to talk about. Numbers are high, but activity (besides Halo 4)still seems to be the same.

The number is definitely not accurate, instead of the counter going down after somebody leaves the forums or sub forum, it keeps the same number and is just continuously adding up.
I expected the Halo 4 forum activity to go up, but there is well over 2000 people looking at the Reach forum, while there were only 1000 looking at it yesterday. Same with the Combat Evolved forum, there was 40 people looking at it yesterday and over 100 looking at it today. There hasn’t even been a post there in 2 days.
It seems that someone has switched the counter to count the users over a longer time period.

Well if you read my OP you see I’m asking why the massive increase. Little Moa answers nicely right below you sarcastic reply. So someone glitched the forums to just keep adding up views. I was curious why post activity seemed to be the same Lycan, but the viewing numbers were just sky-high. I know E3 is happening, but going from having 1-3k people viewing the forums to 50-60k seemed like a large increase, even for E3. As you can see now the numbers have been corrected. They seem to be more usual.
Well either everyone has run off or someone has fixed the numbers.

The forums have been acting weird lately.
The numbers will jump around anywhere from 10-20,000. I would assume it is not accurate. Even with e3 getting that big of an increase doesn’t seem likely.

Just go to “Members” and see how many people have joined since monday.
