Does anyone remember back when Halo 3 just came out? Where there was Bungie favorites, Halo 3 Machinimas, awesome Forge creations, and all of that? Those times were one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had in my entire life, but sadly it just hasn’t ever been the same.
But honestly, I think true Halo fans can experience these times once again if the community comes together like it was before. I realize that it will never be as fun as it was in Halo 3, but it’s worth a try to make this as close as it possibly can be.
Some of the things that I think could do this include:
- Increase in Custom Game Parties - I remember how I used to play a match of Team Slayer then everyone would be invited to play Custom Games. I feel that Custom Games has sort of died down over the years. That’s really what made Halo 3 great for me. - More Forge Maps and Custom Game Types - Speaking of Custom Games, it wouldn’t have truly been fun without the player created maps and game types. I remember playing Custom Games like Duck Hunt, Gladiator, Sky Castle, and a lot of others including all of the racing maps. If people got more involved in Forge and custom game types, it would be a great positive for Halo. - Addition of 343 Industries Favorites - 343 Favorites would be a great add-on to Halo. That’s how I got most of the Custom Games I played. If they can’t add that in game, then why don’t we start a forum dedicated to maps and games we enjoy? - Creation of Halo Related Videos - There were three things I always watched on YouTube before; Arby ‘n’ the Chief, Anoj Top 10 Series (yes I know he wasn’t strictly Halo), and Halo 3 Machinimas. These creations really brought the community together more than anything and we can admit it certainly has died. I had planned on making a top 10 series for a while and I’ve made machinimas in the past, but I think a lot more people should make their own creation and post it online and share it with all of us.All of these, I believe, could help turn Halo 5 into something amazing. Sure it will take some time because the game is still fairly new, but I hope somebody thinks the same as me. Please post whatever you think would be great for the community because I’d love to get this whole thing started .
