Reasons why people might think BR is 5sk..

Maybe it is actually a 4sk but 5sk occurred due to the following reasons:

-More spread: Maybe the BR has more spread than H3’s wich would cause it to miss more often.

-Less aim assist: This game has alot less of it, and people obviously need to adjust to it.

-If the BR would actually be a 5sk wouldn’t 6sk happen under normal circumstances (shooting while strafing, jumping, running, moving targets)?

Plus the fact that nobody tested it out the amount of shots to kill on some AFK player or something, all evidence is based on people who are probably missing their shots.

Just my 2 cents on it

you reasons are very valid. The weapon may have been tweaked to balance multiplayer

Too bad most kiddies act like: hurrr Durp z0mg tehy nurfed tha bR!!1111

In Halo 3, if you shot your opponent in the head, and that brought their shields down on the fourth shot, they would be killed instantly after their shields popped. That’s another good reason.

  1. Because 343 have said it’s a 5sk…

It could be a 4-shot-kill in a more recent build, though. I doubt 343 would ignore the (Hundreds?) threads that have been made asking for the BR to be buffed.

This could very well be true. We’ll just have to wait for some solid proof from 343i, I guess.

Oh, did they? Woops…

The whole 5sk theory was based on the build MLG got their first hands on right?

Maybe they already changed it in E3 build, if it wasn’t already a 4sk.

No, it was 5sk in the E3 build. Many people confirmed it.

They might make it 4sk when the game comes out, but we don’t know yet.

This.

I’ve actually have wondered the same thing recently. I’ve seen the footage and I haven’t been able to see a clean kill. It might be a 4sk, but it hasn’t lined up perfectly in the footage we’ve seen.

And if 343 confirmed it in that build, I want a source.

It’s a 5SK BR as the builds shown at RTX and Comic Con is the same one used at E3. One of the gamespot guys interviewed frank and Frank noticed it took five shots from the BR to kill someone (which he admits that not everyone is happy about that). 12:11

It could change in the final build, like everything else we’ve seen so far.

I still don’t get why people still want a 4sk BR so bad. H3’s BR was basically a 5sk most of the time, except for up close.

I guess if they remove the spread and recoil of the H4 BR it would basically be H3’s BR in terms of killing power (except up close where H3’s BR would win).

Because then if it was 5sk, it would take 6 shots a lot of the time.

Halo 4’s BR also fires faster than Halo 3’s does. While Halo 4’s BR might have worked as a 5sk when combined with Halo 3’s gameplay, the gameplay of Halo 4 is faster overall. Minimum kill time for the BR should be upped, just so it can keep pace with Halo 4’s other precision weapons.

Thank you, that was very very helpful.

I did however notice that he says he was taking about five shots to kill, and then he says that he knows that other people were not taking that many shots to kill him.

Does that mean its a 4sk then?

Whatchyall think?

Also, great find A Critical H1t

well, they almost nearly dodged a bullet with all the Elite fans. what makes me think they won’t do the same the BR ppl?

Doesn’t matter if it is a 4 or 5 shot. The average kill time does not stack up against the DMR or Carbine.
