Reason you weren't invited (reg. before Sept13)

So by talking to various people on Reddit, Twitter and Halo Waypoint Forums being affected by the same issue, it seems like we were able to finally figure out why those people who

  • opted into Halo Insider before September 13 - verified their email - have opted into communications - have selected the PC platform - attached a DxDiag file - are meeting the minimum specs for the build - and especially did not receive the initial ‘Welcome to Halo Infinite - Congratulations!’ Emailwere not invited and will not be invited for the this weekends Flight and next weekends Flight, although you may also were just recently invited to the MCC Season 8 Flight and/ or to the first Halo Infinite Flight, but not the second one.

So what is the problem and how did we figure it out?

First of all, on September 21, Community Director at 343 Industries Brian Jarrard, also known as ‘ske7ch’, tweetet:

“Halo Insiders who don’t have a verified email, haven’t opted in to comms, haven’t selected a platform, or only selected PC but didn’t attach a dxdiag and/or don’t meet min spec for the build - won’t receive an email. (3/4)” (twitter.com/ske7ch/status/1440159093046448128)

So you apparently did everything right, right?

Another indication for the root of the problem emerged from the tweet on September 24, by Community Manager at 343 Industries John Junyszek, also known as ‘Unyshek’. Here, Unyshek was addressing those people, who did opt into console and PC flighting, but were only invited to Xbox and not PC:

"Invited to only Xbox

  • Verified Halo Insider email
  • Opted-in for email communication
  • Opted-in to Xbox flighting
  • Not opted-in for PC flighting OR opted-in to PC flighting, but DxDiag did not meet the flight’s min spec (meeting min spec would move you to the “Both” category)" (twitter.com/Unyshek/status/1441288878057353222)

The root of the issue

What we do not have in our hands here is, that the requirement of meeting minimum specs is being checked by 343’s automatic detection system. In this tweets responses, you can see many people saying they were only invited to Xbox, although meeting the minimum required specs for this Flight build and opted in for both PC and Xbox flighting. So since they were invited to Xbox, but not PC, they did everything right, but are not meeting the required specs for the PC build. It seems like many of these people also own a 3080 Ti.

So ultimately, you were not invited since 343’s automatic detection system for meeting the minimum required specs for this flight has flagged your profile to not meet the minimum requirements. Thus following the first tweet by ‘ske7ch’ above, you also did not receive the initial ‘Welcome to Halo Infinite - Congratulations!’ email.

So why were you invited to the first Flight and/ or the MCC Season 8 Flight, although not changing my DxDiag file? Well it seems like that 343 just recently did changes to the automatic detection system or the system bugged out this time.

How do we fix this issue?

We need to let 343 know that their detection system is malfunctioning and ask them to manually look into your profile and check if there is a bug in the system.

To do so please write a Support Ticket http://aka.ms/HaloSupportInsider saying that you were not invited, although meeting the minimum required specifications and also tweet to Community Manager at 343 Industries John Junyszek and Community Director at 343 Industries Brian Jarrard, saying that you have been wrongfully flagged by the system to not meet the required specs.

Also please comment below, if you are affected by this problem and add your specs.

just invite me already, i’m suffering.

obvs. i met all the requirements

How do I find the minimum specs for this particular flight?

I didn’t get an invite cause I didn’t realise you had to be opted in to comms. So dumb.

Ive done everything correctly and got the email earlier in the week welcoming me to the flight, but no details now to join have arrived.

Happened on the last infinite flight too, created a support ticket then but the reply weeks later was dismissive.

MINIMUM: - Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system - OS: Windows 10 RS3 x64 - Processor: AMD FX-8370 or Intel i5-4440 - Memory: 8 GB RAM - Graphics: AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti - DirectX: Version 12 - Storage: 20 GB available space

Good analysis. I’m one of these people. While my specs are not that good (But I’m still above the minimum requirements based on those “Can I Run It” websites), I expected to be invited because as 343 said, anyone who registered before the 13th can get in. And I did register correctly, filled everything except the console flight because I don’t have one. But alas, I didn’t get an email nor waypoint message. I ended up refilling and refreshing my Insider info a couple of hours ago because someone here said they got their Steam code after he refreshed his Steam info on the Insider page.

I also have the required specs and have been in all mcc flights still haven’t received a invite yet…

I’m in the same boat.

Lump me in, fully verified, way over minimum specs and had an invite to MCC Season 8’s flight.

Have received nothing…this is incredibly frustrating. Hard to not feel wrong done by when issues like this keep on happening

Forgot to mention that after refreshing, I still haven’t gotten my invite

i can’t for the life of me find out how to submit a ticket from the link you’ve provided. I’ve scowered the site, listend to what it said and found nothing along the lines of a section to submit a ticket. In fact, theres only two articles on the entire site. I’m probably just blind to it but it must be pretty hard to find either way.

I’ve been in nine different flights dating back years, crush the minimum specs, no sign of an email or code.

Was fully verified and I’m still not in.

I’m confused, where do I file a ticket? The instructions are not clear to me

Unless they are really sensitive about DxDiag as to shut you off if the Windows 10 build is not up to date on it by a few months, I think it’s safe to say that I have more than the minimum specs for Halo Infinite.

Unless RTX 3070 Ti, AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and 32 Gigs of RAM aren’t enough, in which case I don’t know what else went wrong :open_mouth:

Aside from that everything is green on my end : e-mail verified (although it’s different from my Microsoft account, which might be a factor for all I know), signed up to the Program well before the 13th of September, opted-in for communications (received an invite for MCC Season 8’s flight). I did not opt for Console flights since I don’t have any, otherwise I’m pretty sure I would have been invited for something I cannot participate to.

Just some very bad luck I guess, as many of us here. Damn shame

I would not worry about filing a ticket, support team can’t modify invite status. I am okay not having one this weekend. However, I think it becomes extra problematic with people having previous flights.

This situation sounds pretty ridiculous, I’m the same that everyone’s heard by now. I meet the minimum requirements and have everything checked, been invited to previous flights, all that stuff. It’s insane how many issues there’s been already at almost no fault of the player

So the RTX3080Ti are NOT meeting the minimum specs huh

My code was in the Waypoint beta thing. If you received mail but no code, check there.
