Reason why you were wanting Halo 4 most for?

Okay, now do not flame others for their posts, nor make any insult. Their opinion, not yours.

Okay, my reason why I wanted to play Halo 4 so bad:

I wanted a new experience. I wanted a new challenge. I was excited for many changes that were happening, so much to try out! I did note that a few things are missing, but I shrugged them off and waited anxiously for Halo 4. In the end, after playing and accomplishing so much, this new experience was fun, and challenging!

This is what I was wanting from Halo 4, and I got it! And loved it!

I was expecting quote “Back to the roots of Halo” type game. Turns out they lied like all other corporations.

It wasn’t Reach.

Thought it was going to be like the halo I know and love (halo123)

I wanted to kick butt with the Warthog and play Big Team CTF.

Thought it couldn’t get worse than Reach ._.

343 said “trust us” “it feels like halo”

People said “halo was back”

Back where? Mainly bought it, because I couldn’t pass up a halo game and miss the story, my friends were getting it.

I was sick of the old debate:
-Wii is for 5-year olds
-CoD is beast
-CoD takes skill
-Yo I prestiged yesterday!
-Lol, Halo is for noobs, CoD is more realistic.
I love escapism. It’s the first reason I play video games. Halo is a sci-fi shooter, and I had way too many friends who played Halo 3. I bought Halo 4 expecting hours of multiplayer. I would have been playing more on past Halos, but Halo 4 was well worth the money.

Bought it for the continuation of the story between Master Chief and Cortana. Also to experience what Requiem had to offer and to experience more of the halo universe.

were is the love?

Bought it because I loved halo 3 and halo ODST and though it would have the same gameplay, instead, I can’t play a single match where at least 7 people (at least 10-12 in big team) are using the Designated Aim Assist Rifle (DMR), I am now returning to halo 3… A good effort on 343’s part, but perhaps Halo 5 will be better.

For me initially it is the story and campaign with that giving way to multiplayer within the first week. However with Halo 4 introducing new elements like episodic SPOPS story I find I highly enjoyed the CGI and the gameplay missions got better every episode.

It’s such fresh content each week and helps me to break up multiplayer too.

Mainly because it wasn’t Reach and for the lore…but honestly, even though I enjoy all the Halo games to some extent, neither of them live up to Halo CE-3’s past rep.

I wanted a more classic feel unlike Reach.

That didn’t exactly happen…

Same as you op, until the end.

Also, remember those 3rd person Campaign shots in the Vidocs, screenshots, and trailers? Yeah, I was expecting Theater for Campaign.

When I saw it in first person, I wasn’t impressed, so I was hoping 3rd person shots would let me get the full spectrum of things.

Now I see that it’s just overladen with graphics. Noticeable texture pop-in, but not as bad as Reach (like in the Falcon rides).

Did you not see anything of the game pre-release?

1- To continue the story.

2- Some friends & I still like the 4 player co-op and custom games.

3- I was getting burnt out with the other shooters out.

4- I stopped with the MP of Halo after 3, but played the story of ODST & some of Reach. So I thought it was time to come back to the series since to me it would be a fresh experience.

I’m sure I have some more but those are the ones that come to mind first.

A new story, and to see what happened to our Elite buddies.

And because it’s Halo.

1.Reach highest rank before another Halo came out (I got Reach about 6 months before 4 came out and I got to Legend) The rank cap ruined this and I never got back into the game even after the new specializations came out.
2. Play a “legitimate halo” having only played Reach before
3. Play a game that requires skill instead of a game where people can spawn with shotguns and shoot you in the back with a Remington.
4.Ordanace-hated it about a week in-controlling a lodestar that takes skill (or tedious camping) in CoD that resets to zero is a lot more fun than having to get five or six kills in a game that doesn’t reset between deaths.

I saw the maps, and heard about the new gametypes but I didn’t watch any gameplay. I was expecting a more classic feel and didn’t feel any urgency to watch any of the gameplay. Won’t be making that mistake again.

“We’re bringing Halo back to its roots.”
