Reason why the Didact is evil

It has pretty much been confirmed that the Didact is the ancient evil and the reason why he is evil is in the Halo books it has come to my attention that people seem to forgot that the “ORIGINAL DIDACT” was killed by the Master Builder but before he was killed he transfered his memories to a young forunner who then became him so this pretty much explains why he is evil because it’s not really him the forunner just has his memories and abilities then some where after that the new didact goes evil for some unknown reason this is just to tell you why he is evil when he was good and it would just seem weird for him to have suddenly turned against when he was actually trying to save humanity a long time ago.

The Ur-Didact isn’t dead.

And the Bornstellar Didact still doesn’t hate Humans.

Haven’t you already made this thread?

amazons official description says that both didacts are alive at least at the time of the third forerunner novel. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0765323982/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=heaprcom05-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creativeASIN=0765323982

Bornstellar isn’t evil either.

It’s easy: Ur-Didact is a -Yoink- without the Librarian. Ur-Didact found out that the Forerunners were not the true inheritors of the mantle, then spends what, 108,000 years sitting by himself after exterminating the majority of the galaxy, including his beloved Librarian (or so he thinks). I’d be pretty -Yoinking!- evil at that point, too.

Works for me.
If they were gonna make something up, though, I’d go with “spice withdrawals”.

Pretty sure it’s the half Flood infected Ur-Didect; who’s possibly now a Promethean Machine now himself. Even so, the Didect is possibly a great threat.

This entire reveal has me left slightly confused. The fact the Didect wants to destroy Humanity rules out any chance that he’s possibly controlled or with the Procusors.

Possibly, it’s the new Didect that could stop him somewhere in 5 or 6? Don’t kid yourself, a new Nemesis doesn’t arise and fall in a single installment. The Didect will probably continue on as the villain for the entire Trilogy.

Its been proven he’s in the game not that he’s evil

I don’t think he’s evil, he just doesn’t know humanities motives, nor they his.
