Really?????

343, Really, 200 multikills in MP this week for a weekly challenge (Again!). And before the monitors jump in and say its completely random, well its not. I’ve been playing Reach long enough to know that in the past, you would RARELY see the same weekly challenge twice in maybe 6 months…but now this is maybe (and i could be wrong on the numbers) the 3rd time in 5 weeks that we have seen this challenge. IMHO, 343 knows the numbers on Reach aren’t what they used to be (and how would we know since they have turned off the population counter AGAIN) so a multiplayer challenge with large numbers like this (they hope) are encouraging us away from Reach…

Why would any of the daily or weekly challenges cause players to not want to play this game? I for one love this one as it is very easy to complete in the playlists I enjoy - rumble pit and multi team. If any weekly challenge were to turn anyone away I’d expect it to be last week’s. Credits are more easily earned in griffball and firefight anyway than going for this challenge. I do understand what you’re saying about frequency though, when was the last laso challenge for example. The game is over 6 years old now though we are just lucky to still be able to play it at this point.

I’ll never leave Reach

Interesting conspiracy you got there. We’ll never stop playing reach though.

That is the worst one. I play team slayer you have to play a ton to get 200 multikills in a week.

Hmmm strange.

It’s annoying how yesterday I came across a challenge to link my account with Bungie website for just 1c. Problem is,

They don’t make the game anymore, therefore there is no way to link your account.
This should be taken out of the challenge pool.

It’s only a challenge man. Put your dummy back in and get over it. You’ve got two choices how I see it, play it and try get these 200 kills (not the hardest) or just leave it man. Jeez

Yea so if you played every day for that week you would need to get 28.5 which is about 29 kills in a day everyday. Good Luck.

Grifball.

You’re welcome.

Take off the tinfoil hat, scratch your head, and think, “if they didn’t want people to play Reach, why was it added to the Xbox One?” I certainly play it more now that it’s there.

It is an annoying challenge for people who have started Reach after Bungie handed the majority of control (Save all Reach Nameplates, Eternal Armor Effect, and Road to Recon encoding) of Halo to 343i. People who did so beforehand (Linked their account to B.net) will get the challenge everytime it pops up. It simply detects if it was previously done and if so, challenge complete and +1 cR. If not, it will try to check B.net to see if it has been done, but because that page doesn’t exist anymore, dead end.

Its an incompletable challenge to players who started playing Reach after what I mentioned above, but I think the 1 cR kind of makes up for that. It would be more concerning if the reward was 1000+ cR .Since Reach is six years old now (I know they recently updated Reach to work on the Xbox One and took away the population counter), I doubt they will change up the challenge pool in any way outside of changing cR rewards as they have done that before for ‘balancing’ reasons.

Could very well be a glitch in the system. Reach is a six year old game after all, and you know all the bugs it has gone through in the last year alone that 343i had to fix. It’s worth reporting to Frankie or GrimBrother One on twitter so it can be looked into if it bothers you that badly.

It’s called RNG, nothing weird.

If it didn’t ever have repeats, then it couldn’t be truly random. Unless it’s random in the sense of a shuffled deck of cards, but “shuffling” challenges would require an entire time frame to be prepared in advance. There’d be basically no benefit to doing something that complex.

I don’t see anyone complaining about daily challenges reoccurring in the same week. (Just because dailies tend to be easier by nature.)

Not if I’m the pilot, I fly alone (even though its suicide)
