Really wish bulletins were more like this

From 2008

Recent one, 2012

http://blogs.halowaypoint.com/Headlines/post/2012/12/12/The-Halo-Bulletin-121212.aspx

With all the DMR and bolt pros and cons complaining and defending and all the other stuff talked about. I wish bulletins were more informative about the game.

Agreed.

No more of this kid friendly junk, talk to us like adults please.

Am I the only one who would prefer the developer talking about game choices and game mechanics in place of the info desert which we usually get?

I remember they did the same thing about “bleedthrough” in Reach. Some people still attacked them for it because it was different.

Shoot! I accidentally voted for the 2012 style, I meant to vote for the 2008 style.

Wow this is the First time I’ve actually seen a Bungie Bulletin.

All I can say is Hell Yes,That looks a lot more informative than the fan ramblings (Halo 4 marketing in disguise) that we get from BS angel

No offence angel.

Well to be fair, “BS” is in her forum name! hahahaha

Oh man, those were the good ole days. Every Friday night I’d wait till about 9 for a new update from Urk, read it and feel satisfied. Now updates are full of crap that I just skip. I miss the old days. :frowning:

Which one is more mature? Hmm…

The halo 3 post regarding in depth details of the mechanics of a standard primary weapon for mm, or the halo 4 post with a picture of some naked guy?

Its a no brainer for me, bungie was a much better communicator to the community.

Every bungie update I ever read, I read everything there was on it. With the weekly bulletin on this site, I often find myself skipping a lot of segments, to get to the actual info, which, surprisingly, is only a small portion of the whole thing. So for me, the bulletin is only worth, on average, one paragraph, with a few pretty pictures.

My favorite was the waaaahmbulance at the end. Reminded me how funny the BWU could be. 343i could easily do something like that in one of their bulletins with all the rant threads on here, but that would require them actually looking at their forums.

I am glad I am not alone in this feeling.

Though I am curious why the 4 people like the 2012 style updates more?

I loved the ending of the bulletin of the Bungie one.

But I do feel like they talk to us like children on here…

I must say, I like relevant and useful information over a picture of a cardboard-cutout of a of a naked man…

Bungie: Walls of text dedicated to their design choices and helping mature players understand how the game works.

343i: Pictures of naked cardboard men and staff receiving pedicures.

Agreed

I thought the reach bulletins followed the same mold as the halo 4 ones. Halo 3 had the good bulletins

Not Halo 4 related. Just Bulletin related.

So, locked.
