But now, almost a year later, it is finally almost complete and has really evolved to be a fantastic multiplayer experience. The campaign actually was not as bad as people say (THE STORY SUCKED, BUT THE LEVEL DESIGN AND SANDBOX AND VEHICLES WERE JUST AS GREAT AS PREVIOUS HALOS, ESPCIALLY THE SANGHELIOS LEVELS). You should definitely buy it now.

King of the Hill, 1-flag, Oddball (at least in matchmaking), Headhunter, Stockpile, Race, Rocket Race, Big Team Heavies, Assault in BTB, Firefight, Infection variants, 2-bomb assault and multi-team are just a few out of many missing gametypes in Halo 5. More than a few. Believe it or not, many players are not happy with playing nothing but Slayer, CTF, Assault and Strongholds all day.

> Not every Halo comes with modes previous games had. Some of those were in Reach only so was H4 incomplete because it didn’t have stockpile? Like I said there are essentially some objective game modes not featured but they made breakout isn’t that practically a one flag game. H5 was geared more towards competitive play so that is why some of those other game modes aren’t in the game.
At least Halo 4 had an acceptable amount of gametypes, with the classics that were in since Halo 1 (Oddball, KotH)… But yes, Halo 4 did feel incomplete following Reach, since it started moving backwards rather than forwards, by removing stuff rather than adding it in. It removed many things that fans liked of the series, such as playable Elites, Firefight and several gametypes. Not to mention that they neutered Infection and custom game options. But at least, despite its flaws and terrible gameplay, Halo 4 had developer BTB maps and many core Halo elements that Halo 5 does not.
And yes, Halo 5 was built to cater purely to the competitive gameplay, and that was a huge mistake, as big of a mistake as Halo 4 being catered solely to casual play. A proper Halo game should cater to both sides, and give plenty of options for all sorts of players. Neither one of 343i’s Halo games have done that so far. So I would consider both of 343’s Halo games to be “incomplete”, but Halo 5 to a higher degree than Halo 4.
