When I was playing Halo 3 and Halo Reach the other day, I noticed something really strange about looking in different directions. Whenever I look left, and kept it there, I spun slower than I did when I spun to the right. Same thing if I just turned instead of spun. Anyone care to explain this to me? Also, will this little thing be in Halo 4 if anyone knows?
Sounds like a problem with your controller.

This is most likely the case, how old is your controller OP? Have you ever dropped it or threw it at the TV because of a rage inducing game? This tends to happen often in Halo.

No its not the case, unless somethings wrong with all my controllers along with some of my friend’s. It happens frequently especially in banshees.

I don’t use the banshee usually. So I wouldn’t know. The people I play with who do use the banshee never complain about it though.

If this really is a problem with all controllers, then I have never noticed it. Although now that you mention it, I’ll probably notice it every time I play Halo, and it will bug me for the rest of eternity.
But seriously, it’s probably just your controller.

Idk bro, i mean i just bought my breast cancer all pink controller less than a year ago and a brand new Red one a month ago and both do it, I thought it was just me, until I hear some of my friends complain about it and how there banshee is turning like a turd. Then i see this guy is having a similar problem. I dont know though, its nothing that effects my game play too much, i usually do good every match with the problem so I’m not really complaining.
EDIT: And im not one of those rage gamers who slam their controller so my controllers are basically in mint condition.

Something is wrong with your controller. Noticed it when I was in a Scorpion. It was a crippling malfunction until I got a new controller.
It is your controller. It’s called slow turn. A problam which occures with many controllers. Unfortunately, there are so many who do not notice it because they play at such a high sensetivity. You should return your controller, and get a new one. Or find a way to fix it. However if you try to fix it urself the warranty will disappear.

Go to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and download the trial for an indie game titled “Slowturn Checker”
Here it is if you’re not near your console: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Slowturn-Checker/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d802585505e3
It will tell you if your controller is working the way it should be or not.
As some other people have said, your controller has an issue called “slow turn.”
It’s really only noticeable in Halo and a very high percentage of controllers come this way brand new.
You can either buy a new one or fix the one you have. To fix it, you need to take the controller apart (voiding the warranty) and use sandpaper to take a small amount of plastic away from the right joystick hole. I fixed mine this way. You don’t really even need to use scissors, just sandpaper. Then use the slow turn checker Lvl99Troll linked to make sure you fixed it.
It’s funny how we never had this slow turn problem with the original Xbox and on games like Halo CE and 2. Well, atleast I never had that problem. I did use the old Duke controller though.
I sure hope that Microsoft fixes this for the next generation Xbox.
