Really no penalty for just sticking...

Now I was never a big fan of being able to start off the game with plasmas, since reach. Hey they are in 4, not much I can do about it. But it’s getting to the point were I’m considering on just playing playlists were it’s hard to get stuck by an enemy player. Big team and such. But there are playlists that I would miss.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against plasma grenades them-self, but how people have been using them. I been playing with people who are just trying to stick me. Not using the grenades to force me out of a spot, not using them to try to knock out my shields, not use they to assist teammates, just run and stick.

Either I get stuck and die, I kill them and at the last second they stick me and get a kill (I don’t think) they deserve, or they miss and by the time they realize it they are dead in a couple of seconds. They don’t seem to know what they should do after they miss throwing their grenades. It’s like “Shoot, now all I got is this fully automatic rifle. Now how do I use it, do I throw it?” I know people aren’t this dumb (I hope), but you get my point.

When I get stuck I try to charge them and kill them in the blast, I all most never do unless I’m right up against them touching them. It’s not like the past halo games. I know it’s a new halo game, but things somethings should just stay in. Like being able to kill a person with their own grenade. That was also a moment for me of “That will teach ya”

I look at these players as unskilled. Yes it is a tactic (everything is), but it’s not that skillful. I mean why do you just want to be playing where you occasionally get a kill per you own death? I rather would (and do) be able to kill and not die and continue killing. I have seen people that could kill me but instead they try to stick me and miss.

I recall in Halo Reach the plasmas in Elite Slayer became some much of a problem they toned it done to one. At least that’s my understanding about it. I understand they are intended for the sheer purpose of possible stick and damaging and/or killing a player, just like any other weapon in the game. But there doesn’t to be a big penalty for this type of play style. Sure there is death, but that doesn’t seem to change their mind. Just because they can get an occasionally get a kill using this method.

Now this is just my feelings about this, feel free to disagree or agree. I was just curious to see if anyone else feels the same like me. (I apologize if this has already been posted to the form a lot.)
