Really need new maps.

I’m really, really getting bored of the arena maps, they’re all abondoned like facilities, excluding Regret and Truth, but a majority of the maps are empty lifeless factory like settings, I really miss the old outdoor maps that previous Halo’s had, I think these maps are a lot better than Halo 4’s though, I was not a fan of H4 at all, but one thing keeping me from liking this game as much as I did with the games before halo 4 is the lack of variety in maps.

I miss beaver creek.

I’ve put in some hours this week in Arena and it’s starting to get stale with the first release of maps. I’m anxious for new 4v4 Arena maps. It seems that all the maps aren’t rotated equally. We played for several hours last night and only got 1 match on Coliseum and 0 matches on Orion.

Orion was pulled from matchmaking due to a few issues. I’m sure they will put it back in after reworking it.

They really need to add more maps and I really mean by this month they need to add more maps. I know they got BTB coming out coming this week. But when I play Warzone after few games I jump to Arena to make it more fun… but I keep playing 4/5 maps.

Love Halo 5 and 343i really need to keep this game alive or Black Flops 3 will take over Halo 5.

Yeah most of them sucks no one can deny it. Maps in Halo 4 were much better.

I disagree with that. Hated halo 4, but we’re two different people so whatever.

Back on point, yeah we really need new outdoor maps that are memorable, most of these maps aren’t really amazing or memorable like beavercreek, blood gulch, Last resort/zanzibar, etc.

Am I the only one that hates the new maps. With the exception of the Warzone maps, there is really no creativity to them. There is hardly any detail on the maps, they are all shiny, bright color, high tech maps, that have little to no detail. What happened to having a beautiful map with tons of detail, that has great flow?

The mechanics in Halo 5 and the ranking system in my eyes is a lot better. The diversity of map styles in Halo 4 was a lot better. I think he was trying to get at that.

My main complaint is the fact that I’ve played about 30 games of Team Arena and I’ve had 2 stronghold matches, and 3 CTF matches. I mean really, if I wanted slayer every single game then maybe I’d queue up for Team Slayer. Why not make Team Arena consist of skirmish type game modes such as oddball, CTF, stronghold, etc.

Exactly my point! Warzone maps are nice, but the rest are just boring, no innovation or anything, generic steel/gray looking maps.

I would absolutely love to see some more environmental variety with new Arena maps.

By “no detail” what exactly do you mean? Because if you stop and look at the textures on Fathom, for instance, it tells you things like activation procedures for the emergency evacuation pods. These maps are pretty high fidelity in both texturing and modeling details. Plus because of the new movement abilities, there are a ton of little ledges and platforms and whatnot all over the place.

OP, you are Veruca Salt - the character, not the band. You want everything, you want it now, and when you get it you get bored by it within seconds. This game has several solid maps, many of which are the best looking maps ever created for the game, and there are more coming. Which, for the first time in the history of the franchise, will be free to all players. Let me just repeat that in case you missed the momentousness of that statement. ALL. DLC. MAPS. FREE. FREE. FREE. No more divided population with DLC-mandatory play lists.

If you’re really that bored then take a break and play a little Black Ops. Battlefront goes live in a few days - you could give that a try. When you’re bored of them then you can come back and I’m sure you’ll find all sorts of new maps, new play lists, new game modes. It’ll be like Christmas.

You’re literally the only person I’ve ever met that has defended the maps. You may like it, but a majority of other players don’t.

I’m more than a little suspicious of waypointers who make claims about what a “majority” of players like or don’t like. I haven’t seen any such polls, and if there were any they’d be meaningless since twenty guys (out of tens of thousands) does not make for a sound statistical sampling. This is all pure opinion, on your part as well as mine. It’s entirely possible that, objectively speaking, you are not a demanding, impatient, or entitled individual. It’s entirely possible that, objectively speaking, I’m not a 343 apologist. Neither of us will ever know for sure. But I still subscribe to the “if it quacks like a duck” school of thought.

i -Yoinking!- love the maps. alot of my freinds do to. to me your in the minoirty the rig is the best map halo has ever had

Need more maps that aren’t just a square. Maps are way too small and wide open as well. What happened to the classic halo maps that we all came to love? Why are there no more corridors and close quarters spaces that made halo multiplayer what it was at its peak? There are way too many sight lines in the new maps, which is made even worse by just how small the maps themselves are. Even in 4v4, it seems like you are always in a position where you can be killed from across the map in all four directions.

Oh well, once BBT comes out I probably wont play 4v4 game types much.

I hate Eden, Empire, The Rig, Pegasus, Fathom and Plaza. All UNSC themed maps are uninspired and all look the same. I miss Halo 3 maps, lot of variety and each map was unique.

Maps are clearly the biggest problem in Halo 5.

The game has been out what…3 weeks? You have any idea how long it takes to create 1 map for release? Be patient.
