I don’t think map voting is the real issue here, I think that the main problem is the lack of map variety. In any case, 343 already stated that forge maps won’t be available in normal matchmaking so they already have you covered there. Chances are that forge maps will end up in their own community playlists.
There was nothing wrong with voting, it was what you had to vote for in Reach that was the issue. I’m pretty sure you LOVE the idea if it were in Halo 2/3 as well…

For drop in drop out playlists I think the voting system should be changed to just two choices and you have to chose one.

Sorry we can’t do that because CoD has done it already. /sarcasm
Halo 3’s veto system was terrible and the players had almost zero control. The voting system from Reach is much better. The problem was the lack of variety in the voting.
